  1. Wow, very good review. I hope you can keep enlightening all of us. Look forward to more reviews.-Mike
  2. What Mail Handling System Do You Use For Returns?? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unfortunately, I have had to return Breitling SOSF to Ruby. What Mail Handling System Do You Use For Returns?? I had my wife mail my watch back to Ruby in China from the United States. I used the United States Postal Service. She mailed the watch back as "Airmail/Priority-insured". She was told that a tracking number and delivery confirmation were not options on this delivery to China!! (I have some doubts, but she listened to the person behind the desk. Cost: about $27. What carrier service do you use in the United States or all over the world for returns? Please be a little more descriptive than "USPS, FedEx ect." Please include carrier, mode, price etc.Example: UPS, airmail, insured with tracking number and delivery confirmation, $100 overnight. (I do not want your tracking #, just if you were able to get one). Thank you-Mike
  3. Thanks again for your valuable input. I have decided to send it back to Ruby. Ruby: "\ just return the watch to me. it is not me fix your watch, the factory will deal with it. i just promises, i will make sure it works well." I had my wife mail the watch back to China. She mailed it "Airmail/Priority, insured." When she mailed it...the United States Postal Service person told her they can not get a tracking number or offer delivery confirmation. How do most mail their return from the United States or elsewhere?
  4. I have had trouble this past week on repgeek also. It just seemed to fix itself for some unknown reason. Good luck-Mike
  5. This is an SOSF White Aisan 21J SS (automatic) in which the "second hand", pauses for 1-second on the 19th second (just before the 5th-hour lume), then continues to complete its revolution and/or stops completely until I shake, tap or reset the time. It usually will not stop if: the white face is facing you and the crown is pointed to the ground.(Im not totally sure what is the "crown", but I am refering to the little [censored] that adjusts the time and date). But for the most part it will stop in any other position. Ruby says send it back if I want. I live in the North Carolina-United States. Just got the band sized...man, it really does look good. I was a little nervous not knowing if they would realize it is a replica and not fix it. It is difficult to find somebody that even knows how to size the Breitling band at these independent jewelers. Does anybody have anybody that could help me fix this problem local in North Carolina-United States or anywhere? Should I upgrade the movement? Im looking for a cost-effective approach vs. sending it to China. Any advice appreciated. Thanks-Mike

  7. I puchased my first replica from Ruby: http://www.nicereplica.com/pro_detail.php?ProId=77, I am learning that you can not expect a perfect watch. I am please overall with my first purchase of the SOSF for $129 SS Band, with the exception of the misaligned date. Ruby does take of few pics of the watch before being mailed, but they really do not do it justice compared to putting it on your wrist. I have taken my watch to only one independent jewelry/watch store to have a couple links taken off. He was unable to size it for me...he said the pins are too hard to get out. He was afraid to get too aggressive because it is "such a nice watch". Positives: -Nice looking watch -Good weight -solid replica Negatives: -offset date (hope yours is centered) -if you look close, lume is also not centered. I have been told by a few on different forums that for the money my expections are too high, and that the quality of my $110 Seiko is probably better. Overall: not many people know what a Breitling is or is suppose to look like.-Mike
  8. Date Not Centered! Breitling-SuperOcean Steelfish White Asian 21J -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey Folks..I just received the Breitling SuperOcean Steelfish White Asian 21J from Ruby. Problem: the date is not centered in the little square. (sorry no picture yet, but I noticed it immediately). The date numbers appear to be set a little too high and are offset. I have emailed Ruby to inquire what my alternatives are..no reply yet, but sometimes it takes awhile to get a reply back. Any suggestions for a remedy. Sort of torn, not totally happy. I could probably send it back adding to my cost of the watch and waiting another 3-5 wks until a receive another watch. Maybe have somebody fix it, again on my dime. I do not have the tools or knowlege to attempt to fix it myself. Re: my initial feelings of the watch: -Like the look and weight. SS band seems cheap -can see that the Breitling was punched on the clasp -clasp and edge is a bit sharp and difficult to work Maybe my expectations are too high, but I am sort of comparing this watch to my $110 Seiko. Appreciate anybody's input. (has been posted on repgeek.com and replica-watch guide)
  9. New to this forum. Saw that Wim just purchased the SFSO. I think I'm going to pull the trigger soon and buy the White Asian SFSO from Ruby. It appears that she has a good reputation for service and a lower price. Does anybody know where I can get a good value/price for the Brown Leather band to interchange with the SS. Thanks again for the information contained in this forum.-Mike
