  1. I'm not going to keep dragging this, you haven't been on RG for over 1 year and you don't know what you're talking about so I'd suggest you minded your own forum and left the ones you've been banned from alone, but again if you have any issues with RG or any of its staff or members please do not hesitate to contact me anytime. Other then that I'm not available to feed this kind of discussion that leads nowhere. Enjoy your day.
  2. Funny how you keep bringing RG to something that has nothing to do with it... get over it already! The issue was between myself not RG and the staff of this board, again not RG. The issue has since been sorted by very helpful staff in here and they have been all thanked here and in private for their help. If you have issues with RG bring them over there, not in this board that has nothing to do with it. You can also PM me any concerns you have regarding RG that I'm always happy to help. Now please move along and leave RG alone that it has nothing to do with this thread or this forum.
  3. Funny how you're always in on every opportunity to raise issues with the geek or its staff... this has nothing to do with you mate, move along and leave the drama alone.
  4. Make that 72 hours and not a single reply from any admin staff... Yes I also could appologize but I won't. I am a member of staff from another board and when a problem occurs it jumps to the top of my priorities to at least reply to the member that we're looking into it. That's all I asked for for any of the members of staff contacted to aknowledge the PM and see what they could do on their side to prevent it from happening to others. My bad for wanting to protect your membership through this. You can ask any member of the geek that contacted me personally with a problem that hasn't got a reply within 24-48 hours and I'll donate you and the board here $1000 for each one you find, I also have a job and a family by the way, just in case you're wondering. When we become "staff" we have an obligation towards our members, at least that's the way I see it, perhaps I'm wrong about it or different sites operate in different ways. Yes I did call out the admins in RWG in this thread, but the thread was done with the intention of getting some replies as to what would be the best way to go about this. Being ignored for 3 days by 3 different staff members in the middle of a problem is quite frustrating you have to admit. While I do understand that we all have lives besides the forums, I also seen the said members of staff logged in for several hours on the 3 days that I sent the messages and if it wasn't for this thread there would be no reply. Now everyone is offended that I revealed that this issue was ignored for 3 days by 3 different people. Just to make things clear the Paypal process was initiated (not concluded yet) as a way of getting the member to communicate after numerous attempts to his e-mail and PM box here with no success. The Paypal procedure wasn't open prior to contacting staff in here but after receiving no support or aknowledgement from any of the members of staff contacted. There's no war watsoever with the member, I want him to comunicate and that's all same as I wanted from the staff of this board. I do not wish to bring drama into your house and much less prolong it so this will be my last post in this thread, I think we all wish at this stage the issue had been handled differently by all involed and it hadn't come to this stage. Feel free to close the thread at your discretion. I'd like to also thank the members of staff that PM'ed me and replied to this thread with offers of help. Thanks a lot!
  5. I've had a deal here about 2 weeks ago with a member from the UK, I live in Ireland and he said he sent the watch on Monday the 27th of June, normally a parcel would take about 2-3 working days to arrive from the UK if not special delivery. I've got parcels sent from China after that that already arrived, other from Sweden that was sent this week on Tuesday and it arrived Friday... and nothing of the one sent on the 27th. This guy, when I enquired about tracking info said he sent it without tracking, after I had told him that it must be tracked. I'm not too worried about the money as I paid via Paypal Goods and a dispute has already been opened and escalated and the seller has failed to reply to all my communication via PM here, via e-mail and even Paypal so this should be a pretty simple decision for Paypal. The problem happens when I asked 2 of the administrators of this site for help regarding the member so I could investigate and see what I could find out on the guy and both admins over 48 hours ago have been on several times and haven't even bothered to reply to my PMs. Being a member of staff in another board and being used to deal and help fellow members resolving their issues with pretty decent success it is surprising for me to see the way the admins treat the members of this site... maybe its only the non paying members or maybe is only for members of staff of another board, either way it is disappointing. Can anyone from the staff help me with finding out some information on this guy before I make it all public so we can do a behind the scenes investigation to try and find out who he is to avoid future scams? If so please pm me and I will give you the details you need. Thank you. RR
  6. Don't think they are planning to make it yet. I wish they did though, especially if they used a 7753 on it.
  7. You can check 3 posts above this one Pete! Nope it doesn't take 22mm.
  8. 20mm and the 22mm won't fit through the new deployment.
  9. WOW that looks awesome, I want a rep like that.. ohh wait it won't happen! Congrats bud, that's a lot of watch. Wear it in good health.
  10. Its hard to say, don't forget that although more and more accurate these still come from China and even though they look genuine they aren't the same quality and never will be. The crown tube is something that doesn't worry me much as even if it threads go is something you can replace for a few bucks.
  11. Yes it looks like its 20mm, I don't have a way of measuring it with me at the moment but the deployment seems to have a little bit of extra room so you may be able to squeeze 22mm through there. I have a 22mm strap at home I'll try it later on.
  12. 27/20 is the one that comes mounted for this new deployment clasp. Any 26mm will look good here too though.
  13. The clasp works perfectly, it feel genuine guys. Butter soft operation and closes nice and tight.
  14. First a word for the dealer, Torobravo... WOW Brother, you did it again, first one to receive a new 288, 2 days, that's right this baby left CN Monday morning and arrived Wednesday Morning to Ireland. Can't beat that. Another word for his packaging. WOW the watch came with a very nice one watch leather carrier pouch, with rubber protector and well bubble wrapped, could it get any better? Yes, if he had shipped it on a gen box with all papers, that's the only way it would get better. Thanks again bud. The bad: Toro didn't notice the Chrono hand wasn't resetting to 0, this is a common problem on replicas but these 1:1 factories and the dealers should pay a bit more attention to these issues. Having said that its a minor problem, its very easy to resolve and I want to have it serviced anyways so it will get back to normal soon enough. Actually its already at "0" as I stopped the chronograph exactly at 0 as you can see by the photos, quite easy on this particular watch because there's no hour totalizer. The 2nd issue is not an issue unless you've elephant wrists like me, if you have wrists larger than 8'2 you're going to struggle with the stock strap, its too small. I have to use it on the 2nd to last hole and its a bit tight on that one. Other than these 2 minor things, the watch is incredible, it feels, looks and sounds genuine. Put a pair of gen shoes on this and you're set. The GOOD: - Build quality seems to be up there with the best. - The AR is totally colorless and superb although only single sided. - The dial quality is superb - The insert ring although there's a milimetric difference on the font boldness and position its not noticeable at all, I'd say that even with the gen side by side you'll have trouble noticing it. - The Lume, WOW, the lume is superb on pair with my Rex Superlumed 111h. - The Caseback is perfect - The Packaging that toro sent this in was a very nice surprise, thanks bud. - The stock strap although a bit too small for larger wrists seems much better quality than previous stock straps. Not those plastic type rep straps we're used to. - The accuracy, this thing is up there 99% close to genuine, and you pay 30x less for one. Well this is a great deal. - Toro's super fast service, this was amazing. After having to wait a long time for my 300 from toro, this one came in 2 days, that's right 2 days from Guangzhou to Ireland. 5 Stars. - The Sapphire glass, no distortion at all, perfect. Now on to what you're waiting for, the better pictures: Sorry for the bad lume shots, I only have a huge tripod from my landscape work and its in storage and I was too lazy to get in there and look for it tonight. You get an idea anyways until someone shoots better pics.
  15. Chief, if you know the secret sauce, let me run a theory by you. I've been trying to figure out what makes it so good and I've noticed that the coatings on both sides of the crystal are different, they are different in tint and seem different in refracted light too. What I'm thinking is they are using one coating to avoid reflecting either certain tones or certain incidences and the other coating to avoid reflecting the opposite side of the spectrum. This is also the case for instance with the V3 Super Avenger, the AR is excellent at cutting reflections (close to gen if not the same) despite the different tint to it and both sides of the crystal also have slightly different reflected tint and reflect slightly different. Is that what they do? Why is it a more expensive coating?
