I had my first 'encounter' about my Skyland last night. We were hanging around outside a bar and talking to another group of guys. One of these guys was wearing a pretty Navitimer and I told him 'nice watch you got there'. His reply was "Thanks; so why are you wearing the fake?" to what I only replied "Oh, are you too?" and all he could reply was "just kidding man, nice watch"

I finally got my first replica watch last week (unfortunately only get to post about it today). It is a Skyland Blacksteel. Full Dot @3, couldn't figure out though whether it is a V2 or V3 yet. It's the PVC coated one, thus darker then the actual Blacksteel - but the upcharge to get a better version is being saved for a second watch :-) I tried to take some pictures in the office, but they don't reveal much. Excuse the quality guys, they've been taken with a very cheap camera (guess that's the next important thing to invest into). It seems like I have to get the glass modified in order to be AR. Just don't know any place where to get it done - but I keep looking.

Short update: I'm in tough with several dealers now in order to get the perfect Skyland rep. After reading your review the fifth time, I noticed that you mentioned to have gotten it from Watchstation for $168. Unfortunately I can't find that watch on their website any more. The cheapest skyland seems to be the v1, with the half-lume dot @ 3 for $198. Am I misunderstanding you or has the marketprice changed so rapidly?

The $108 Breitlings from your stated website come with a Quartz movement, not an automatic. Hence the price. Depending on what you're looking for, that might just not be it.

Great report, very well described how to check, what kind of material it is! Although 316L can be purchased all over China the steel is imported as Chinese steel doesn't come in this grading - Mike please correct me if I'm wrong.
