  1. Can't say anything more, I remember him since the old good days, now more than a decade ago... May he rest in peace
  2. +1. Your first 201a version was better, I hope it can be modified in the final printing.
  3. Mine neither, I'm still thinking Whoop's are the best (once again IMHO)... the open 6 and the Ft vary depending on the printing: first dials in the batch has very clear fonts and latest ones has no so clear printing. Anyway if you're enough expert to detect a whoop dial, you're proficient also to detect a Phong or HH's cases or the caseback engravings so no way to foolish a comex expert with the spare parts available at the moment no matter what kind on gen dial, movement or insert you have...
  4. Best comex dial for your project are whoopy's hands down, take a look at this post: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/160148-whoopys-dial-project-preorder-list/page-4?hl=%20comex You need to get it relumed and trimmed down a bit to fit HH or Phong's case, other than that there's no other dial around.
  5. Hi SD, sorry to hear that... as FGD says it sucks From my 0,02 cents take the time you need to get the printing perfect, I will be waiting... Keep 'em coming!
  6. Niiice! Painted or toasted subdials? Enviado desde mi iPad con Tapatalk HD
  7. hum, that 6538... seems you're going to have a lot of work in the coming weeks... where did the case come from? best
  8. Amazing job A, I'm in for sure. What's about your 6538 case project?
  9. Speechless... I honestly envy your patience for hunting Wear it well mate
  10. Whatever you want... That case was made (with this crown) till 2,4 million serial. I have a red 1680 from '72 with that crown so a feet first dial will be ok also.
  11. Well, non-profi pictures on a non-profi dial with a non-profi watch... ... but looks amazing to me Thanks SD for make it happen!
  12. ok, finally I managed to take some pics... excuse the dust and the fingerprints. As I said, quality is amazing in person... enjoy it! Notice that the dial hasn't a backplate so number kept a lot of light, it would be solved with the proper back.
  13. Will try to take more quality pics as soon I arrive home... Enviado desde mi iPad con Tapatalk HD
