  1. They're the same watch that you would buy for $120+ shipping from the "trusted vendors" with the asian 21J movement. I think I'll be best off taking everyone's advice and scoop up a UPO.
  2. LoL.... let me guess... it has something to do with the crystal?
  3. Honestly speaking, I highly doubt I would ever get to the point where I would start swapping parts around. I would wear the watch as is(possibly having someone re-lume some key parts), I don't want to go too crazy making the rep look like a gen, considering I could get a used gen for around $1500. I'm leaning a bit more towards keeping the 45mm version.
  4. thanks for the input. I think the watches look okay, but I am a total sucker for lume. from what i've read on the forums the ultimate version has a pretty good glow when they're charged up. I wonder if anyone would want to buy these from me? Haha
  5. So a friend of mine recently came back from China and got me these two Planet Oceans. They look OK to me but the lume is horrible(as expected). The one on the left is a 45mm case and the one to the right is a 42mm case. Do you think either is worth keeping and modding? They both have asian automatic movements. She got me both watches for less than $140 for BOTH. If I was to spend any money on these watches, it would definitely be to superlume the hands, dial and pearl. What do you guys think? Am I wasting my time and money or should I be adventurous. If the pictures are too big, you could press and hold "CTRL" and use your mouse scroll to zoom in and out
  6. I'm dieing to get one of these! nice looking watch.
  7. looks very pretty! definitely one of the nicest ones I've seen in my very short amount of time on this forum.
  8. that's one heck of a beast... i'd wear it though
  9. hahahah now the question is...... will the statement be valid if I swap my bracelet to a different strap
  10. I personally wouldn't ask for new watches, I would probably send them back to the sellers and request that they fix them. If the packages were insured, I might try going through insurance instead.
  11. looks excellent! Planning on selling straps?
  12. I was feeling a bit bummed out all day because I thought I scratched my sapphire crystal on my DSN Fiddy. After trying multiple times to buff it out in the office with a microfiber cloth and some soapy water, I gave up all hope. My girlfriend who just happens to be a chemist suggested that I try some toothpaste and buff it. I didn't have much hope because I knew that sapphire isn't forgiving at all when it comes to a scratch. Lo and behold, what I thought was a scratch came right out! I used arm and hammer "pearl drops" tooth paste in case you were curious. Long story short... if you think you scuffed up your crystal, give tooth paste a try before you give up
  13. sweet pictures, sweet watch. Zigg is the man.
  14. I totally missed the shiny chronos, what do you mean exactly by the back set date wheel?
