  1. Hey bud, your watch isn't a fantasy model, it's just called a "White Themes" One of the more understated ROO's for sure.
  2. Anymore pictures of how the deployment mates up with the strap? Does it have an oval shaped pin to mate up with the non round slot in the strap?
  3. HUGE F*CKING UPDATE! If you've followed my threads on RWI or RG, you would have seen these already, but I wanted to post them here as well. Some comparison shots next to my super franken 16610 LV which is now sold and shipping out soon I have to say, for $620 from TC, this thing looks DAMN good next to a Franken that's got gen dial, hands, date wheel, etc in a sean case. Gen dial alone costs more than the entire TC LV. New bracelet on the left. V3 on the right V3 on the new watch V5 Clasp shots And a random shot out in the sun. I have to report that the bezel seems to be getting better. I have popped it off and on multiple times, and cleaned it. I still don't have the friction ring on there, but it is getting smoother to rotate. 1989 comparison. crown on 1989 gen TC V6 on left with the following mods: Gen AR crystal, Gen LN Insert, everything else TC New TC LV on right with the following mods: Gen LV Insert, everything else TC Crappy cell phone pics TC's have bracelet. No bracelet = gen 2003 16610. The pictures with only 2 watches is comparing the gen to the V6 TC TC Clasp comparison from left to right, v2, v3, v4, v5 My 16610 obsession - from left to right - Earlier TC with big crown AR crystal, then WM9 LV with TC's new LN insert, new TC LV in the middle, TC V6, Gen 16610
  4. Gen subs dont even have it all at the same location. Maybe from the factory, but once it gets a service all bets are off.
  5. What do you mean construction doesn't look gen enough?
  6. A couple of things I have noticed 1) The bezel is extremely tight. Right now I have it on with just the click spring, no friction washer. When I tried to fit just the bezel on the crystal retainer without even the click spring, it was very tough to rotate back and forth. Also, pressing the insert in was EXTREMELY tough. Both the TC new insert and a gen one I have. I'm not sure if that's part of the same problem as the stiffness to rotate, if the overall dimensions of the bezel are just slightly smaller or what. 2) I tried fitting a V3 bracelet, and the end links were VERY high on the case, like even with the tops of the lugs. So even though the v3 bracelet might be the "best", it wasn't the best on this case IMHO. What's on their now is the V5 93250 it came with.
  7. This is one of Mike's builds, I put it on a gen 93250
  8. Bezel on mine is nice, clicks nicely. Lume is good too.
  9. That's a bezel insert ashman, he's talking about the bezel itself.
  10. Mike, I think I wouldn't mind having lume on the hands. If I could age the hands with Super Lume to look like the hour markers, that would be pretty cool. Going for vintage/modern blend. Hell, I'm half considering doing this as a total fantasy build and going with a stainless bezel and normal insert for a "Modern Bond" gilt submariner look.
  11. Would that strip the lume off a set of gen hands?
  12. The title should have said "AGING" not again!
  13. Doing a 16613 build with a gen mid case. I bought this dial: The hour surrounds have an amazing patina on them. Any idea how I could do this to a set of hands without waiting 20 years?
