  1. Didn't buy it on leather, but I put it on leather...
  2. Phock! I want that. IF YOU EVER SELL...
  3. Allllllllriiiiiighty then. I started off with an amazing watch from my friend - Mr. Davidsen. A BEAUTIFUL 112 that I dreamt about and wanted for oh so long. FINALLY, I pulled the trigger and she made her way, half way across the world, to my door. You don't know the excitement I felt. This specimen was flawless and I couldn't be happier...... except..... the damn CG pin. UGH! So I decided to mod it (NOTICE, mod was completed before I took pictures for tutorial - so use a little imagination and work with me here!). 1. Take off CG 2. Push pin up from bottom so it protrudes through the top of the CG my literally a hair, just so your fingernail catches it when you drag it across the top of it. Use the pointy part of a springbar tool or a small (very small) screwdriver. If you push it up too far, turn over and push it back a hair using a flat surface. A bit too much here, but you get the idea on how much to push it up: 3. File down using a disposable finger nail file. Purple is the preference (LMAO!). It should be flush. Best way to do it is put file on flat surface, turn CG over and stroke back and forth (I know what you are thinking
  4. Thanks y'all! I was happy with how a few of these turned out today. Thanks to you too! I usually use a tripod and a better camera, today it was a 3 year old Sony point and shoot (P39A) held in my hand. It was the perfect day to shoot outside as it was overcast and lighting was near perfect. No terrible glare but plenty of light so no flash was needed. You can't beat what nature gives ya!
  5. I took my baby to the park today, she was working the camera pretty hard. Here are a few of the results. God I love her!
  6. Have you considered the rarest of the rare? The ever elusive Panerai Radiomir Tourbillion White dial: http://www.sedkieq.com/product.php?Brand=3...0&Product=3 Seriously, for PAM reps - especially base - I don't think you can go wrong with a modded watch by Davidsen, The Prince, Angus, etc. Almost perfect out of the box, because IMO - you'll love it at first and then start nit-picking. First comes the cannon pin fix, then superlume, next thing you know you are at that $500 mark and have been without it as it sits on a modders workbench for a week or two. I'm in love with my 112 from DSN. I've also owned his 005 and 113 at one time or anther. Figure out if you want SS or Ti, then if you like the subdail w/ seconds or not. Then pull the trigger on a 000, 005, 112, 111, 176, 177, etc. $.02 My old 005: Old 113: Current 112:
  7. $200+++ DSN sends some of the best rep straps out with his watches. They are the only rep PAM straps I'd wear. In addition, depending on what you are looking for - you can pick up decent after-market straps for $25-50ish.
  8. I just can't get over how much I am enjoying this watch. It dresses up enough for a suit but is more at home with jeans and a button down. I'm thinking of a croc w/ deployment for business meetings and adding a few more THICK straps to get ready for spring/summer. Ready for a quick meeting with a client: Hockey fans? On GeF Valdarno from TCStraps.com Really gotta take my time for better photos, but you get the point..... Parting shots: I've owned a number of reps over the last year or two. Had to sell them off for various reasons, so the 112 is currently the only one in my stable. Of the reps from days gone, the 113 and the Inge are the only two I REALLY miss. As much as I miss those, they don't compair to this 112. The LOST SOULS: DSN 005 River 089: DSN 113: Josh's 183h: Trusty Inge: Trusty Moon Watch:
  9. Hey, to sneak a watch into this conversation - I thought I'd add a few pictures I took a while ago (when I still owned this amazing rep). Enjoy!
  10. I'm still w/o the GS3, will be for some time. The Andreja pulls a DAMN fine shot, and with some knowledge and love - on par with just about any machine out there. It just takes some more time and effort, but I know her well and don't struggle too often. It is espresso nirvana at Casa de WatchDude.....
  11. Give it a "shot", you'll see the light..... I was torn between going Rocky, Mini, M4 and a few others. In hindsight, I believe I made a great decision - although all are good choices. Truth be told, I doubht I'll EVER upgrade my grinder..... no need. I thought I'd never upgrade my machine (Andreja), but I've got the fever.... the LM GS3 fever.
  12. Hey..... what's wrong with MACAP? I use an M4 Stepless and couldn't be happier! IMO, it's the Mazzer Mini killer. I spend a bit of time there too.
  13. Hit or miss, but my last delivery was a hit for sure. ALMOST perfect fit and finish - I haven't found a flaw on his QC on this one - but I'm sure I will..... EVENTUALLY! Even the rep strap is nicer than many aftermarket straps I've purchased! If he continues sending out watches like my last one, we'll have no reason to go anywhere else for PAMs (IMO). I'm anxious for his 88. With a 112 and an 88, I'll be done with rep PAMs for good (except maybe a white dial..... again)! Then it is just time to replace those with gens.
