    Gen or rep

Seems gen yes, early two tone 116613 sub. Your watch hands are playing tricks in dim lighting, seems like SS in most pictures but actually gold.
  2. Saw Rolex 16710 bezel with coke insert on eBay with couple of scratches. Seems gen. If someone want's to bid on this item: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bezel-Insert-Rolex-Gmt-master-II-16710-Black-red-Coke/311687894842
  3. From interweb: What is Bakelite? Bakelite is a castable, fire resistant plastic that was invented by Leo Baekeland in 1909. It was originally used for industrial purposes, until jewelry makers found that its light weight made Bakelite a perfect choice for designing and manufacturing inexpensive bracelets, rings, pins and other jewelry. Bakelite jewelry became especially popular in the 1930's and 1940's, after a wider assortment of colors was introduced. The new batch of Bakelite colors captured the imagination of more and more jewelry companies. Coco Chanel was one famous designer who offered Bakelite jewelry and accessories. Clear one Yellowish
  4. Um.. yeah. Perspex comes in many colours and also in clear form. Bakelite is not only the brown stuff it's also in clear form too. Don't make my head spin
  5. Great bump! Didn't know Perspex until know. But ain't perspex and bakelite two different things? Perspex for crystal and bakelite for ring?
  6. Regular asian 2836 movement decorated to 3186 Rolex cal. Too expensive but may come with a rep box but still expensive. Customs dream
  7. The ad still opens for me and yeah, it's a TC clasp http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Submariner-Seadweller-Daytona-GMT-NEW-Clasp-Schliese-Bukkle/152218046668
  8. It's a fake one because I hope so to be [emoji14]
  9. Your Rollie is on fire. Great photos!
  10. Does anyone know where to get newer style GMT bezel click spring ref. 317-16628? Or can anyone sell me one spring? I don't want to travel to another country to buy from Rolex AD It's longer and when used, it feels just the same when turning bezel both ways. Smaller spring feels little off when turning clockwise. Pics: Thanks (edited: added one more picture to compare)
  11. The movement may be dirty or no oil inside. It needs service. Normally fully wounded A2836 movement may run 40+ hours.
  12. It's so sweet, I have never ever looked Tudors but this is like a honey. The clasp is just WOW. Gen ETA movement in and its a real peach. The case does look little fat and also is the dial made of plastic?
  13. 10 hours still to the end, let's see how much it will go. You are the only bidder. right? I suppose you know if it's fake. I know you had one gen in your hands and sold it.
  14. Found eBay auction for 116710LN GMT bezel full assembly with starting bid £250 GBP http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Gmt-Black-Ceramic-Bezel-Complete-With-Rings-Genuine-/222173769476
  15. Thanks! Older retaining rings will strech out but with new gasket it might hold. What about bezel ring? Will those strech or wear out so there is no good edge and retaining ring can't hold it in place? I'm thinking to turn my 16570 to 16710.
  16. Guys of Rolex land. I got one question! I'm going to answer it too but want to know for sure caus I can't make my mind up... (all parts gen) If I will use used bezel with used crystal retaining ring, what will happen? It will sit loose or friction ring will hold it OK or bezel will fall off? I'm asking it because Im so in between of buying used or new parts. New will be twice the sum but they are new. Thanks!
  17. I think you're in luck, Ofrei has it. It's the 2650G. http://www.ofrei.com/page1119.html
  18. Thanks mate, I'll stay away.
  19. Hello guys of many watches. Can somebody tell me how's the quality of bezels and crystal retaining rings on WSO's site on eBay? I'm thinking of using bezel and retaining ring with gen 16710 bezel insert and crystal. Or still TC is better? Right now I have case, crystal and insert. Of course I have to source gen 16710 or 16760 dial also from somewhere but I don't see them popping up.
  20. TC LV V6 is period correct for mark 6 produced from end of 2005 till end of 2006. Serials from D middle to Z early.
  21. Thumbs up for this! How many parts did you change? 18 or less? Some parts are easier to get than others, can you say how much was the damage of these 3185 parts all together?
