  1. Really?? Look again at the first link. And now, look at the description, which I copied and pasted below: Model: 1680 red Overall condition: Very Good Bracelet: 93150, recently brushed - great condition and very wearable. Comes with 593 ends. Dial: Amazing original creamy MK VI dial. Small blemish at 6. Amazing dial, one of the best I've seen. Bezel Insert: Thin font insert with dot intact, glows very, very faintly. Date Wheel: Original silver date wheel with open 6 and 9.
  2. Looks good Mike...I'll be there around "5" ish??? :-)
  3. That was the link Nanuq! That made such an impression on me at the time, that I thought seriously about getting a gen Rollie. But after getting my 1665 MBW, I saw no need to get the real deal. I have had it for 5-6 years and it has been through some crazy stuff for a rep. I scuba with it, worked as a machinist, and now work for the dept of corrections...and it is still my daily beater. Maybe because I bust the tropics out of all my PAMs. :-) 3 of my 4 PAMs are in the "shop" right now getting crystals replaced....again.
  4. Speaking of a blast from the past...Does anyone remember Klink's welcome letter he used to give all the newbies?? He would watch and wait for the new guys to do the introduction thing...and blast them the infamous welcome letter. Is Klink still kicking around?
  5. I wish I had kept the link for a real Rolex that was worn by a ship's mechanic. He evidently lost his Rolex while servicing the engines in the ships engine bays, and without his knowledge, it fell into the oily bottom of the ship's drive system. If I remember correctly, it was found years later and returned. Beat to heck with scratches and looking like it had been ran through the mill...but still running. The story was complete with pictures. Quite the ordeal if in fact the story was true.
  6. I remember the old days...Klink, TTK, Pugwash, Nanuq, ETC. I have been on these forums for 7+ years although not with the same user name. For some strange reason, my old password would not work with my old user name
  7. Thanks! I still can't get it to load for my profile picture. Unfortunately, I don't have any editing programs.
  8. Can anyone fix the size of this pic so I can use it as my avatar photo. I have no edit software and the picture seems too large to use. Any hep or info would be appreciated as I am a complete noob in the foto dept. I am not even sure if the attachment is done correctly..LOL
  9. I had 4 with mike. Now have 2 awaiting crystals from Great Britain. And am sending him another watch for Super lumn and water proofing. So, I guess that makes me: 2 with Mike.....and 1 on the way.
  10. Just thought I'd chime in...I had been around this and other forums since most of them began. "I forgot my password to this one and just re-registered" I have sent several watches to modders in the past....NEVER have I been screwed over. Some of them took over a year to be returned. Which was not unusual. Communication with the modders was always sparse at best...but that was the price I was willing to pay. I sent MD2020 a total of 4 watches with the polite instructions to take his time...no rush. I just received 2 of them back in great condition and he went above and beyond my expectations. These were not easy fixes either...I am a beast with my watches...to the point where parts and pieces are broken on the inside. I will continue to send Mike my watches as long as he still wants to take time to mess with them. Thanks again Mike...I for one, appreciate your services.
  11. My 212 and 217 have blown out their tropics. I knew this was a problem in the past and have had them sent out a few years ago for replacement. Now they have done it again and I am looking for someone that carries a 44 mm and a 47 mm crystal for these watches. Any leads on where I can buy some domed sapphire crystals, would be greatly appreciated. :-)
  12. No worries Mike. As many people that have been complaining.....I figured that you had more than just 17 watches to repair. Like I told you before...no hurry on mine. If you need to put someone in front of me, feel free to do so. I'm not worried. Now quit reading this crap and get back to work!!
  13. Where did the number "17" watches come into play? Did someone contact him and he stated that is how many he had? Just curious.....I have 4 watches with Mike at the moment.
  14. I am having trouble finding tropics/crystals for my PAMs. One is a 212 with a 44mm crystal and the other is a 217 with a 47mm crystal. I remember a few years ago, we had a bunch of these with crystals that had been fractured.....I have had them replaced before and unfortunately, I need them replaced again. If ANYONE knows where I can get them, please let me know. Any info will be greatly appreciated.!!
