  1. I may be getting my "Vs" mixed up, but I believe it's a v2. The first release had crappy, 1-sided AR; had "less-crisp" engraving on the bezel; was missing the "tick" just below the 10 on the minute sudial (at 12:00), and had the correct, short, minute markers at the 59, 14, 16, 29, 31, and 44 (but not the 01 and 46 - go figure) minutes. It also had dark hands on the hour, minute, chrono second, and subdials. Your pics appear to show the dark hands, but it might be the lighting. The v2 corrected the missing tick @ 10 on the 12:00 sub, corrected the hand color to silver, and came with double-sided AR, but lengthened the minute markers on the quarter hours. It also had a better-engraved bezel. Both the v1 and v2 came with crappy font, though some of the v2s were better than others. The correct font didn't come out until the Skylands, BCE V3s, and Super Avengers.
  2. this fool apparently though it'd be a neat thing to do
  3. Nothing a few weeks and a few bucks with The Zigmeister couldn't fix, but these look pretty good to me, and I'm thinking it'd be pretty hard to notice without the macro shots. I could live with those lume dots.
  4. Will they still be over $400 in 6 months? 3 months?
  5. and THEY WILL MAKE IT TALK! It'll tell them where it came from - the dealer, the factory - everything they want to know.... maybe not, but probably not a great thing just the same....
  6. I've got a black dial and a blue dial... the AR tint makes the black look blue, and the blue look black... makes me confused... but, IMO, it lessens the importance of the dial color choice, as given the right (wrong?) light, the AR tint makes them all appear bluish
  7. Mine's working perfectly. I'm just waiting on the AR-coated cyclops to be done...
  8. but significantly discounted from the original price....
  9. It looks pretty good to me - correct tics, correct black subdial hands, the dial font looks pretty good, the crown looks ok (need an expert to chime in) too. The lever and pushers look a little off, and the printing on the rotor looks sloppy. I've heard also that the sapphire crystals are more prone to exploding, but no personal experience with that. It'd be great if the price works its way down on this one (ala APROO, Graham Diver's, most recently the Skyland)....
  10. You're welcome. I just wish I had an answer to your question (cause I wonder the same thing)...
  11. Maybe this is the $235 version you're referring to? http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1882
  12. The funny thing is the original (V1) BCE - the one with the missing minute mark at the 10 in the minute subdial; the one with the single-sided AR... that one HAD the smaller minute markers you're talking about. Then they made a V2 (the "Ultimate" BCE) which addressed the AR, added the tick mark on the minute subdial, BUT F'ED UP THE MINUTE MARKS you're talking about. It's almost like they did it on purpose.... With nonsense like that, it amazes me, the job they did on the Skyland
  13. Get it, you won't be sorry. The bezel is very tight and crisply printed. 120 "clicks" for a full revolution.
  14. Agreed, I haven't taken this one off my wrist since it arrived - except to change out the ss bracelet for the leather strap. It's AWESOME. Gonna to be interesting to see if the SA has the same effect
  15. Lani, We all owe you... big time. This is a special place, and it's people like you who make it that way. Thank you!
