Very quickly he responded with pictures of exactly what I was looking for, lucky me. The pictures did all have different backgrounds, but whatever So hardly believing my luck I asked how much he wanted for this rare genuine dial $2000 LMAO be careful out there

I doubt you will easily find any pocket watch new of worthwhile quality at anything like an affordable price, let alone specific dial variations

I imagine that there were some made back in the day. However I think your best bet would be to find something like a Waltham, American pocket watches still have a fantastic parts supply. It may need a service, and while it is stripped, get the dial reprinted to your specifications

None of these cases are 1:1, there are tells, tells that won’t in any way stop you enjoying your watch, but which are there nevertheless. It will fit the case, but not the dial or hands. Why not just get an ETA2824 or clone? I can’t remember which version of the case needs a notch cutting for one of the movement retaining screws

So probably the best idea is to do what the rest of us do when researching a watch. Head over to your preferred dealer or dealers and see what is available, then research those options to see what are the strong points and weaknesses of each maker's offering and decide what YOU can live with and what YOU can't, which may very well be different from someone else's preference

If by people you mean senior Admin, crew and long standing members, and if by accusations you mean concerns, then you are probably correct There is far less wrong with buying a $7 rep on DHGate than in trying to fool others or yourself that a rep is genuine
