  1. So basically the only real shop I could find which seems reputable and official was https://www.cousinsuk.com/search?SearchTerm=2836.2 not sure this is the right movement though the datejust would just need a day indicator. Any thoughts? Kind regards
  2. Can someone please share some info on a respectable seller for this movement? I only see it at very high prices of 161 why is this movement so hard to order online:(?
  3. Anyone can please advice a good location to buy the movement? https://m.dhgate.com/product/high-quality-2836-2-2836-a2836-automatic/475116808.html all kind of prices online ranging from low to high. are there any reputable stores online to get one?
  4. Any thoughts on this rep? It seems bp is the closest you can get. daydate gen parts seems hard to source right? Did some searches for daydate 40 gen dails found mostly vintage on eBay. Seems most dails are for vintage watches. Was tinkering to perhaps replace the dail if possible at all. If I could source a nice gen dail that would fit this watch. Guess I would need to measure it since the ref on the trustytime website is not correct with the gen refs. Just an idea though. As a “newbie” I would say the bracelet is near identical and if closed you could not easily see the difference(?) the clasp is less quality but not visible on closure. It seems the casing is also very gen like the last years the machinery in fake factory’s seems to have increased. The rep dail cannot get close to the gen the Rolex crown seems more flat and the ink on the dail not as good. How do you guys think the date and day wheels hold up? Would they be a good enough and worth replacing with gen? Thinking about perhaps replacing some most obvious rep parts with gen parts any thoughts worth it? - the dail - the crown - Day and date indicators
  5. I’m ordering the silver dail fake diamond not sure how well it looks in reallife. After comparing the pictures the Rolex logo on the dail seems a little off. investigating if I could perhaps replace the dail with a gen one, a non diamonds silver Roman one. Does anyone know or sell gen fails for daydate 40mm and know if it will fit inside this rep? The bps I seen on reddit look al very close I guess with a gen dail you have the near perfect Franken. Except some small font issues perhaps but perhaps the month wheel can also be replaced with a gen month wheel? kind regards https://www.trustytime.org/rdd0206c-daydate-228206-flt-ss-ss-silv-wht-diam-bp-swiss-2836.html This one. what do you experts think of it? https://www.trustytime.org/rdd0206c-daydate-228206-flt-ss-ss-silv-wht-diam-bp-swiss-2836.html This one. what do you experts think of it? 6. Im not sure if I can pull it off haha that's a really good question ;p. Its hard to compare but it -seems- the blue dail is also a bit of a giveaway in this replica, the "brushed" look is more flat on the replica (ofcourse) Therefore perhaps its better to choose a white dail instead. Im a bit confused on the numbers listed on the site, it lists  228206 while the one posted by me has ID 228239 For example this one: https://www.trustytime.org/watch-brands/rolex/daydate-40mm/rdd0194a-daydate-228206-ss-ss-white-roman-bp-swiss-2836.html Lists the ID as RDD0194A - DayDate 228206 SS/SS White Roman BP Swiss 2836 If searched those IDS I get totally different watches ( without fluted bezels) for example on chrono24. Its a 228206 replica and not a 228239 replicate? Sorry for the newbie questionÂ
  7. Thank you for the reply alligator, how exact is this replica to the genuine ones? It looks decent although it won’t be Whitehorse but metal which could be a giveaway that it’s “ replica. Also a concern is this watch shipped from China due to the corona virus. One could potential buy a watch that contains the virus this is possible right? What happens if customs intercept the package?
  8. Hi everyone I’m interested In a daydate 228239 fluted bezel blue dail and wondered if this watch can be build Franken? Would it be possible to build this watch? Maybe @mymanmatt can you build this Franken or do you still only build the datejust watches? Bought mine 5 years ago it has been a bless to wear it everyday such a classic Beauty. Since the selling price of this watch is 30k I was wondering if one could get the same look and feel without the hearty price as a Franken. the watch link to Rolex site is: https://m.rolex.com/watches/configure.html#/day-date/m228239-0046/dial it is in white gold I believe this is the 2019 model with the upgraded wrist band? i do bought a noob gold Rolex replica just for fun 2 years ago its a datejust2 very nice but the fake gold and incorrect older style bracelet on that one makes me not wearing it it is just too fake although a nice watch.
  9. Hello everyone already 5 years ago I bought an awesome datejust from Matt. I need a replacement A2836-2 can anyone help me with a good place to buy it? ebay? Amazon? what should be an acceptable price i have all the required tools to replace it myself. thank you guys in advance!
  10. Hi Matt tahnk you for the advice i have added a small plastic tube hollow and glued the broken pin together like that with a little expoxy it eorked out fine is strong and holds up correctly. too much hassle to send it back but your offer is much appreciated. Since I wont sell the watch this is not a problem for me. Replacing the pin to dagerous so this was a good solution and its very strong.
  11. If we could just cnc high quality custom made case and bracelet parts with a case that fits a regular 36mm datejust movement you would be there. But probably very expensive. I know a guy who sells cnc tools i will inform how much the costs are tomorrow. Just a block of stainless steel is probably not that much but the time and tools to cnc it are. Plus we would need an exact measurements 3d model convert it for cnc etc.. If one would measure a datejust case inside then build the oysterquartz case around it. Adding a clark saphire datejust gen dail and a chinese movement one could get very close. That is if the cnc quality gets close to the gen. I think there are aftermarket bezels for datejust 36 which one can also use not sure if they come non fluted also. would take a lot of time. Printing a cheap plastic 3d prototype on shapeways.com could be a first step. Then if the pricing is not to steep replicate the parts in stainless steel. Would be a real challange i guess. Anyone with a gen or rep 36mm datejust emty case that would be willing to measure it with a digital messurement tool? Or are there technical drawings of the datejust and or oysterquartz 17000 that could be used to build a correct 3d model that can be used for cnc ing?
  12. You mean the crown head? The broken pin is still in im not sure if i can remove it. If thats possible I think I may be able to solve it myself since i have the replacement stem. the only problem still is how do i get the stem out? Do i have to press a hole somewhere? Cannot find anything online about it
  13. Hi Matt, that would be great. I have bought stem from ebay should be the right one. The crown is indeed also problem. If you could help me on that it would be awesome. Do you still have my address?
  14. I wonder if one could add a 36 mm date just dail inside this case. So just purely experimental and not in correct dimensions at all ( one would need an original to measure it up exactly ) i made a drawing in rhino 3D. This case is not that difficult in terms of strange corners it basically a very basic design with some filet edges trimmed of the case. Just experimental, not correct dimensions. I think its do-able with some hours to replicate the casing.. If someone could exactly measure one up with a digital measurement tool. Then one would "only" need to CNC it. Im not sure how much that would cost. Of course the inside should be exact, or perhaps modified to fit an day date 36 mm GEN dail. Then only the bracelet would be a problem, but could be replicated in the same way with the difficulty it needs the hands and bracelet parts also. Which adds more time. Probably this could be done in a day and printed in cheap plastic with 0.1mm error tolerance on shape ways for a few bucks. A plastic prototype so to speak. Moving it to CNC parts could be an issue also you want the stainless steel to have the correct brush which would take try and error. Since its mostly basic shaped with some edge filets holes it *should* be do-able. Again one could add a 36mm day date crown GEN or rep. Any thoughts on this Ok an attempt and thoughts ( on the bracelet ) Using day date 36 mm dail gen dail Crown using 36 mm day date gen or rep Sapphire using Clark's 36 mm ( I think it almost identical?) Using a 2283-2 or similar movement that fits for day date 36mm also Bracelet is fairly simple in terms of filleting, its basic shaped smaller each part Again just a quick draft to see how much work this is, made the bracelet in about 30 minutes ( and my rhino 3d skills are a bit rusty )
