  1. That's a shame. It was a great reference and a tribute to your work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I keep telling myself I don't need a 6263 Daytona replica, but this and other recent posts like it have me seriously rethinking this - they look so darn good. Can someone point me to the best Daytona 6263 replica to purchase as a starting point? I'm looking at what Silix has to offer since I've bought several submariners from them, but I'm not convinced that's the best starting point. The photos don't look that great and they list it as having a "manual Lemania movement". That can't be right, can it? Feel free to respond to me privately with a specific recommendation, if you prefer. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide. RH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Looks fantastic! What movement does it have inside? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Did you modify the bezel or the crystal? Looking at the older photos it looks like the crystal isn't as high as before but the bezel doesn't seem different. I'd really like one of these but the large recess around the pushers would probably bother me. How do you find it in person? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That's pretty nice! It's a nice subtle alternative to a Daytona. I might have to get one also! The sub-dial at 6 is not functional, right? How does the thickness of the case compare to the gen? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I don't know which is better, your builds or your photography of them. Both are stunning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That looks nice. Can you post a shot of it on your wrist? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Can anyone recommend a font to use for the "small" text on the dial? Superlative chronometer officially certified. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hologramet, Can you repost the file "Tempus_Machina_dial_BW.pdf"? When I download it it seems to be corrupted and won't open in Acrobat. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I'm considering a Trustytime submariner, probably one from the top grade vintage line they offer. I was looking at this mil sub: http://www.trustytime01.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_103&products_id=15 I also see Silix has what looks like the identical watch in the high quality section for $50 less. Anyone have experience with purchasing either one? Here is the Silix link: http://www.silix-prime.so/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=115_158_226&products_id=1832 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah I thought about that also. The engravings aren't executed very well anyway so I guess I'll keep it on a bracelet so they are out of sight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I just received a Silix Milgauss ref 6541 and thought I'd share some photos. This is from the Silix "High Quality" watch category. I believe the main difference from the "economy" line is the movement is ETA style and the watch is from a different factory than the economy. I'm not an expert in gen vintage Rolex but so far I'm happy with the appearance of this one - It looks like a Milgauss on my wrist. One area I'm initially happy with is the bezel. It seems to be higher quality - no sloppy play and it also has some friction so it stays where you turn it. In comparison the bezel on my Silix 6538 economy is very loose and moves easily when bumped and has up-down play. I currently have the rivet bracelet from my 6538 on this watch. I didn't want to remove the protective plastic off the bracelet it came with just yet, but the bracelet looks pretty good also. Here are the pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
