Franken TC SUB project

Hello fellow enthusiast!!

Just picked up the latest TC Sub and wanted to put some GEN parts:

I just need a little help narrowing down my search.

I want to put gen crown and tube and I need the correct size?

Also I need the correct sapphire crystal for it, it's the V series TC SUB version IV but TC took out the engraved Rehaut, so I'm guessing the sapphire would not have the Ar'ed cyclops,

Your help is greatly appreciated

No 16610s except the very last LVs came with AR'ed cyclops from the factory, but 16610s of all vintages have been fitted with the AR'ed cyclops crystal during service. So don't worry so much about "correct" and just get what you like.

The TC crown/tube sit closer to the case than gen and since the cutout for the crown on the TC case is a little shallower than gen, your crown might stick out too much.

Oh wow!! I didn't know that!!

Will that look badly noticeable? And would that affect the waterproof of the watch.

I was under the impression that the TC Sub is very close to gen construction,

So, should I stick to TC tube and get a GEN Crown??

Incorrect! I have had a v serial and random serial 16610 black sub both with factory fitted ar cyclops.

So just to clarify!!

The GEN dial WILL fit the Swiss movement,

With mods

Or

Without?

Because if it fit without a gen movement then that would've been a "dream" franken

For me ofcourse.

Then your dream awaits you.

The gen dial will fit an eta mvt but the dial feet must either be clipped or relocated.

And the gen dial (27.4mm) will fit in the TC case dial opening (27.0mm)

Mine has eta 2824 with gen dial which has had the dial feet removed and is fixed to the movement. Guess its my dream Franken too! Also has gen insert and gen crystal.

Here it is with my omegas.
