1. All, So I have decided to take on a project to build the Ultimate Modern Daytona Franken 116520. I have seen plenty of Zenith Daytona's but nothing in the realm of 116520. So I hope you learn from my experience and what goes into a build like this. Here are the parts I was planning on using Gen Parts: - Genuine 4130 Movement - Genuine 116520 Black Dial - Genuine Crown and Tube - Genuine Crystal with LEC @ 6 - Genuine Hands - all 6 of them - Open display case back[emoji14] Rep Parts: - JF Factory Midcase 23J - BP Bracelet as it seems like it has a better fitment than the stock JF Bracelet - I might go with a genuine bracelet but I am personally not a fan of scratches so might do a leather strap with custom end links. Now when it comes to helping me with the build, I only trust misiekped with my rollies builds. Updated: 6/6/16 Unfortunately These are the parts that I ended up using - Genuine 4130 Movement - Genuine 116519 Panda Dial - Genuine Crown and Tube - Genuine Crystal with LEC @ 6 - Genuine Hands - all 6 of them - Open display case back[emoji14] Rep Parts: - Phong Case - Aftermarket Ceramic Bezel Big thanks to someone I consider a good friend and a big asset to our community - @misiekped Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk

 2. Always wanted a vintage case opener. The 1001 set I bought is near complete but it has dies to open all submariner/gmt cases, which is really all I need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 5. The swf has the screw of the caseback that keep also the bezel. The zf has a press-on bezel. Swf is more gen like in this sense.

 9. StarTime Supply is probably a good bet. But they're in the USA so shipping might be a little bit. Also, Wholesale Outlet 990 on ebay probably has it and I've gotten stuff from JandK Watches- also on ebay. Rolex might not be too bad if they will just sell you the bezel and insert and not service the watch to boot- in the US, a service runs around $500 and most independents will do it for around $200. Never hurts to ask Rolex.

 14. If the Sub you are getting has a 2824, or something else with the same stem height, it should work...

 16. Rolex never chamfered lugholes. The "chamfers" you see on gen cases are a result of poor over polishing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 20. Hello everybody! Today I finished my project-РAM004b. Noob case , crystal, hands (I had to change the cover. Polishing felt disc with the addition of aluminum dust. It is possible to achieve the right shade) Davidson: сg, сb, DIAL 111e Unitas 6497, incabloc _________________

 25. Here's mine. Essentially the same watch but in the style of a Tudor 7928. Been wearing it for a few hours now and I have to say that over all I really like it. If I have any complaint it would be that the bezel feels loose. Of course it looks too new for a watch from the 60's. I don't believe I'll do any mods for the time being.

 26. There are several suppliers that provide the same dials. I would recommend tonnywatches on instagram.

 28. Well said DropTop. I just bought another pair of vintage Revo 840s for $52 online, in the "Wayfarer" style. Zero scratches and ground glass lenses. Even better looking than Ray-Bans. When it comes to safety/survival, always spend the money. That's the worst possible place to try to save a buck.
