  1. Lol relax. When i read your post it seems Puretime has done great. They cant control the post. If nothing happens after 4 weeks then try to resolve the matter. You need patience in this hobby..

  2. its too common for my liking. VINTAGE BABY! it shows an appreciation for the pedigree, not just some trendy wrist jewelry

  3. Prefer the lug hole subs. If you have to go "modern" sub, I say go for 16800. Sapphire, matte dial, and can take the 93250. Best of both worlds.

  4. The wearer's hoped-for response.... OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! It's a ROLEX!!! My response.... Ewwwww, what's that stench?

  5. I like the lugholes. What I like about the watch is how versatile it is and keeps its "cool" under all conditions. E

  6. I'm with dluddy and By-Tor on this. In it's 22+ year run it's even morphed into a better watch- no lugholes, super luminova dial and hands, better end pieces on the bracelet and an improved mainspring. Besides, the early R, L, E and X serials are becoming collector's pieces in their own right. And we're lucky because we finally have great reps of this iconoc piece.

  8. It's a watch that's suitable for any occasion and the one that for me finds it's way onto my wrist the most, understated to say the least So yes still hot and the one design that every other watch company wishes they had thought of first

  9. How could it become passe? It's a legend. It's absolutely perfect and the slender lines and classy white gold markers perfected the looks after 1680. Best Rolex ever (along with 16710). Absolutely no doubt about it... in my mind, anyway.

  10. The basic modern Sub will and has been an iconic symbol of success and the first real purchase for many in business. I don't think it will change and remember: today's modern = tomorrow's vintage

  11. Keep bugging him then TBH I don't give a stuff (or see the point) of making the 2824/Selita look like the 8500. In terms of accuracy it may as well have a DG2813. In fact , if it means they get it out quicker then they should bloody well put a 2813 in it..... . 'ETA clone' is just a price markup issue these days - good for profit for the sellers but meaningless to us buyers now. I've kept my best genuine ETA movement reps to remind me of a time when it mattered......

  12. Fill in the blank: "Ewwwwwww it's another contemporary / boring Rolex with a flat crystal. If only he had the sense God gave a newt, and had bought a lovely vintage instead."

  13. Good lord, have some patience!!! The postal / customs in your own country is likely the cause for delay here yet you post negatively about the dealer that has done everything properly and is being very friendly and responsive to you??? How about an apology to Angus and edit of your title when you receive the watch next week

  14. Yeah agreed they missed a trick slightly with the heights/thickness of these 8500 PO's, people say it's necessary adjustement to fit the movement but that is not entirely true, the movement is chunkier than the 2500 but alot of the added thickness comes from the bezel height. No doubt they are great sellers already and they will be great sellers going forward but lots of people prefer the 2500 PO size/height. This could've been a true direct competitor to the Rolex sub, instead Omega turned it into SD/DSSD competitor. Not sure if we'll ever get a proper AT r11co, been bugging Angus about noob doing one, it's difficult to get info on the 8500 PO rep let alone an AT, I keep telling him they can't ignore it as it is the bond watch and will be a solid no nonsense seller, and when they've finished trying to get an sw200/a2824 to look like an 8500 for the PO, they can stick that one in an AT and double up the profits

  15. Another guy with 5 posts bitching about how long it takes for him to get his illegal, counterfeit watch because a few days have gone by. Sometimes I wish that our dealer friends in China ask for an IQ test before their clients are allowed the luxury of buying a watch that is incredibly authentic looking, well made, and lately, run the risk of being executed. That is the fact. The trusted dealers here are trusted for a reason Kindly do not malign them in any way, be patient and you will receive what you paid for. Otherwise, a punch in the chops may be in order.
