  2. He is the man. He is the legend. He's done plenty of work for me and has been more than a gentleman throughout. He is one of the people that makes this community truly great. It's the holidays, so I'm in a cheerful mood. Hear hear jmb!

  3. I was in Jared Jewelers yesterday looking at some jewelry. The salesman noticed my Daytona and says "haven't seen one of those in a while" Then he starts telling me about the new Hamilton. They have a valjoux based watch for only $719! He quickly ran to get it and brings me two Hamiltons. Neither of which had any chrono registers. I turn them over to look at the display back and saw the really nice ETA 2824... The guy acted like he had no idea what I was talking about.

  4. Where are you from? Not America. Guns sold everywhere in every store. That's a ridiculous idea. They weren't even his guns. They were his moms. Look. He's nuts, you can't regulate craziness. It's a tragedy, as a father I'm appalled. I don't like the idea that we trust the police to have firearms but not our citizens. As you said the rate of mentally ill people that kill people is low, so this type of thing happening in a country with 300,000,000 people is low, yet it does happen. What's to be done? What would work, do we want to just make knee jerk reactions and hope for the best or can real tangible progress be made without trampling people's rights and freedom? That is an argument I'm willing to engage in.

  6. HI Tony, you can't go wrong with an MBW/ MBK 1665. Here is mine. The mods possible are limitless which is dependant on your budget Mine has - Gen faded bezel insert - Ingod44 rail dial which hasn't been relumed - ETA2846 - Silver flat top 3 date wheel overlay from Fxrandy - Gen 93150 bracelet - Gen crown - Gen crown tube - Gen T39 super dome - reshaped crown guards which I think is the first mod you should get done - redrilled holes to 2mm which is also a must. To gather parts, always keep an eye here on RWG, parts do come up and also on the gen fora.

  7. I've always had luck to find knowledgeable sales people at Tourneau. I'd not go to Jared for watches though. Kind of taking about high performance cars with a random Walmart associate just because they sell tires.

  13. Received my 164 today. The rollerball at the end of the CG lever is missing! How is this possible? Can a new rollerball be fitted onto the lever? If so how is this done?

  14. i assure you i am workign to bring this to you guys asap. there always seems to be a hurdle to cross, one after the other. i have a 5514 prototype 2.0 on route. the first one was almost perfect, but then we spent some time trying to resolve the bezel ring inner diamater being to small by literally 1/10th of a mm, a gen insert was having trouble fitting with out sanding the outter diameter, or it would fit but too tight. i still have no idea how well its been resolved until i receive the lastest prototype next week. i just want this thing to be as spectacular as everyone hopes it is, and as much as everyone deserves. the next hurdle im trying to resolve now is a wire tansfer issue. my bank and government get real nosey around who gets money transferred to them by wire especialy when it leaves this country. their fears are with money laundering and funding terrorism. my manufacturer likes their anonymity, understandably so, so it is proving hard to get certain information required to pay them properly and satisfy the fact checking government. i have no problem telling them i am buying non OEM watch parts for resale, but my manufacturer is less than forthcoming with their information i suspect they do not want to be on their corrupt governments radar for any reason. so beyond those issues i can confirm this project is very much alive along with future models im working on in the interim. thank you to all for still believing, and heres to getting some good after market cases and parts asap.
