  3. Hi Guys. So picked her up this morning. At the office so do not have a lot of time to mess with it, but just a quick dremel job with poly watch on the plexi and a little detail job and looks much better. Pretty happy with it. Bracelet is really worn out. Needs a new clasp for sure, it is paper thin. Not sure if MY can fix up the rest of it, I will reach out to him. Case is OK, dial is great, hands are so so, probably going to replace them. Lugs a little uneven, but decent. Probably just go with a light brush and polish, a new pearl for the insert (or use my other MKIII), a super dome and a service. Although she is keeping good time.

  4. That car actually is in Italy, I live there 50% of the time! I inherited the car years ago and now I am selling it because I can't afford insurance ect... I have tried with those companies but unfortunately, due to the crisis they are not hiring new people. I am now working in a bar for 700€, 13 hours a day in the Canary Islands. I feel desperate I'm sorry but you don't sound like an alfista! ahahah just joking, anyway it is not an aftermarket flap. It is a genuine alfaromeo flap, available in the official accessories and came from the factory with the spoiler.

  7. So far I haven't had any problems and have even had two packages of parts opened and inspected by US Customs. One was a batch of cases and another a batch of clone 2824 movements - seems they don't appear to care much about parts.

  14. It is interesting how the hands have turned a shade of green, can't say I've ever seen that. If it were mine, I'd probably change the hands. Note the straight "S" in submariner. Certainly you'd want to service it and maybe polish the crystal. Nice find!

  15. Hi I have got one of these, bought from puretime january or february this year, cant remember who maker was but they are cheaper now. My impressions are that this is one classy watch, you just wont see another like it in the wild, the ceramic is like nothing else the bracelet feels like pebbles when handled and the case has that quality feel that matt black ceramic gives. the detail on the crown guard is a nice touch. I am very pleased with mine and have worn it on holiday etc. no problem with acuracy or reliability up to now. The ceramic of the bracelet is harder than the stainless steel of the clasp so polishes wherever it touches. Oh and I had to Loctite the pins back into the clasp after only a couple of wears. which was dissapointing but its a Rep so it is what it is. Hears a good tip that applies to all watchesm do not handle the watch over a tiled floor, its very hard but brittle drop it and the case is not repairable you can google this. Otherwise on the wrist its fine and is as new despite some use because the ceramic does not scratch, infact try rubbing a £1coin against it, it the will leave no mark. Yes I would definatly recomend this watch,. Go for it.

  16. You'll be fine with misiekeped but watch the postmen insure it and keep it out of the damn water it's a expensive vintage watch. Go get a diver for under 200!!!

  17. Do some more research on this. The original gen Abyss had the squarish dots and then the later releases of the gen Abyss has the rounded dots. So the look you have on your rep is in fact accurate to the original gen.
