  2. Here's how I feel about it and it ain't pretty. I'm in no way dissin' the OP, just the thought of a $35k or $50k watch. "What is the opinion on this new Rolex?" It's just one more step toward rolex being a jewelry company instead of a watch company. I started reading the review and dozed off. "Beside the movement." Movement is a no go, it's not a 1520/30/60/70. Call me simple but D&D = more stuff to screw with now and break after the warranty runs out. "I would get one in platinum which gets the price around a hefty 50.000." Call me cynical but one troy ounce of platinum costs less than one troz of gold. Gold-oro $1234. Platy-oh! $984. (4-15-2016) Rolex groupies claim it cost a LOT more to make a Prez out of platinum than gold because it eats up tool bits...Ha! Next they will be claiming platinum is harder than their hallowed 904L steeeel aka 'license to steal'. Btw, a dealer will skin about $20k off of a buyer on a platinum Prez. That's a lot of $$ for the Devil's Own Handshake and a 'free' cappuccino. Just sayin'. All BS aside...the truth is a $30 to $50k gold watch is a hard sell on a replica watch forum. Many members are where they are (good shape financially) by not buying crap like this. The only upside to a rolex Prez compared to other high priced swisscrud (18k gold AP Roy Oakie, Pateeek Naughty Naut, Cartier Ugly Le Mutt etc) is the rolex might be worth a bit more than the others in 20 years. I'm tryin' to be nice here. Call me nice, don't gimme hell. Proof of nice: "I like the Yellow Gold, harkens back to the older "classic" DayDates." Yep the 1803 etc were classics all right. Except for their cheapo hollow bracelet links and hollered out cases Hollered is close kin to wallered. If you don't believe me, ask JMB.

  6. Andrew came through again as always, It was a flawless transaction as usual. Quick dealing and a Pro in this business for already many many years. After a long long wait, finally the new beloved PAM087 is launched I never owned a diver version like these, once I heard the announcement of this specific version being launched I was hooked. Main reason was the blue dial. I had to wait a bit longer compared to other members due to a shipping delay here in the Netherlands. But then again, ordering during Christmas time is a pain in the a$$. We all know what to expect this time of the year regarding shipping time. But finally it's in my hands and WOW... Amazing quality IMO, I really like the watch. Expectations were high on this one and I must admit they came through! The dial is very well made and changes by color each time depending on the light. Sometimes the dial seems almost black and then again when the light hits the dial...BANG... Blue all the way! My doubts were there, but only regarding the strap. But as many members like me already stated... the strap is really well made and good looking, pics really don't do justice on this strap. Very nice stitching and it does match perfectly with the lume, the strap is butter soft and therefore very comfortable to wear. The bezel is nicely brushed and the details are superb if you ask me. The crystal is also very clear. Really nothing to complain about. On one of the pics below you can see the nice texture on the dial, super crisp to look at, thumbs up! I tried an ASSO (assolutamente) strap and had it on for just one day, I changed back again to the REP strap I actually cannot find a single lack of quality which I noticed regarding this watch. But, probally the die hard PAM heads will do have a thing or two to complain about as usual, but not me. REP of the year...? Perhaps yes!!! As always I made many pics for those who are still on the fence, hope you enjoy! 7. Hope this helps... Both for V72 and V726 Bovet Bucherer Certina 29-052 Certina 29-0531 Certina 29-063 Datora Enicar Eterna Favre Leuba Gallet Heuer Landeron Le Phare Longines 330 Marvin Minerva Oebra Orator Precision Roamer Stingray Wakmann Wittnauer 13W-2 Wyler Zodiac It maybe missing 2 or 3 brands, but you have the idea About the "some are better than others". Nope, just a question of finishing. There is at least 3 or 4 finishings, but you have to see the movement to see it. Anyways, it does not impact the time keeping or anything else, so if you don't want to go with some bad aftermarket "Rolex" bridges, etc, it does not matter. You just have to be careful if you buy a V72 : check if the holes for the clamps are here. If they are not here, stay away from the movement, you will have infinite difficulties to get it fixed into a Daytona case. If you go for a V726, as far as I know, they all have the correct holes. But you will have difficulties with the hands (if you go with aftermarket hands). But it is better to go on the 6263/5 route cause of the correct BPM. And don't forget to check if the movement is clean Good luck for hunting
