  2. I am still trying to build watches with all kinds of parts I can find on the internet as I want to have as much practice as possible and I think it is boring to disassemble and assemble the same watch over and over. But it is not so easy to find parts that fit together mechanically and even more difficult to find stuff that matches aesthetically. Sometimes the outcome is hard to foresee because you need to use your imagination to combine fotos from eBay or other sources to a watch that you will only see once it is build. This time I bought a Zodiac dial, a swiss aftermarket case and used some 1675 mercedes hands I had lying around. I am really happy with the result. IMHO nothing looks off. To me it looks like a watch from the designer drawing board. What do you guys think? Here is another shot that makes the gloss dial more prominent.

  4. Always tough when a long time known guy goes rogue, we (and I in my role here) have no way to defend on this . It is a chance we take......................

  5. Nice to have @508-Fanatic back! And @REPPIN going rogue is very disappointing. Sorry for you @Sbybbuser - I have been there with a long time member on a sister forum. Learning curve but there is hope.

  15. I found a wholesaler in my area. I had the explanation of beco's refusal. They do not accept orders below 2000 €. This local wholesaler has agreed to order me some [emoji632]

  16. Hi He contacted me via PM and asked if i was interested in a vintage Explorer because i had searched for one on WTB. I was and asked if he was interested in a trade for some watches, and he was interested. I asked him about the sale to Spybbuser and he said the deal didnt work out and he got the watch back. I had no reason not to beleive him. We had a good conversation and he is/was a respected member of this forum. Regards Michael
