  1. There could be a way : - nail varnish instead of printing - under the decal instead of on the decal Here is a pic (bad one) of my first attempt. Considering I dont have a long experience with decal dials, I would say that it's promising. The problem is the thickness of the varnish. A way to avoid that would be to : - grind the "red zone" with a Dremel before putting the varnish (unfortunately I dont have a Dremel) - fine sand the varnish (when completely dried) until it does not "pop" from the dial anymore - polish to get a smooth surface - put the decal on the dial Next week I'll try to borrow a Dremel, test that method and post a feedback..

  4. Yes , as would I. So the story goes, The original owner of this watch was involved in an accident riding his motorcycle and the watch case, crown and crystal were heavily damaged in the accident when it broke from his wrist and was later found on the highway, face down and by one of the response workers. It was given to his wife when she arrived at the hospital after hearing about her husband in ICU. Long story short, The owner survived and lived to ride another day and his wife took in the watch to have it fixed and surprised him with it when he got home from the hospital. he thought he had lost it but she had it fixed. The marks that were left in it were reminders that day and how precious life is........or something like that. I should realy consider writing Drama novels lol Anybody have any suggestions on buying an off the shelf Bezel that could work for this ?

  5. The JF dial for this model has never been as accurate as the Noob one. The sec@12 subdial has markers that are too short, and also, the second counter ring around the dial is inaccurate.. the 1-4 markers for each set are too long. QC wise there is nothing wrong with the watch but I have caught out several 44mm ROO in the wild from distances 3-5m away based on these and of course the datewheel position and depth, as well as the size of the date font. It is a nice watch to own but not an accurate one, like most ROO rep models.

  7. The sec@12 movement is a modified A7750 movement, with the moving seconds transferred from the 9 o'clock position to the 12 o'clock one. It is a nice innovation in the replica industry honestly. But due to the friction within the additional transfer gears, there could be inherent issues like movement stoppage or non-reliability. This can be overcome by reducing the friction in the transfer gears, and strengthening the mainspring as well with a high tensile one. Jewel mods or graphite coating mods could serve to reduce or solve the friction issues. The more recent batches of sec@12 movements are improved over the initial batches and should prove more reliable.

  8. I'd say it's gen. rep ones have a more silvery finish to the sub dial and it looks quite different to the colour of the outer dial.

  10. There is an Omega parts place in Australia. The name escapes me at the moment, but they gained some notoriety for building franken Seamaster 300 watches from genuine parts. Anybody? Watchco

  11. Hi Frank, You could try offri or cousins UK for a gen replacement. You're best getting the gen ones as they will more than likely be similar cost for replacements from a TD. I'm not sure on the speedy, but I know with a lot of other brands, the pusher is held in using a circular clip, but some do screw in also, concord C1 is infamous for it! Hope this helps mate. 13. My heart bleeds for them and in all their righteous indignation about cheap inferior Chinese movements they quite forget to mention that the Swiss industry got started by making cheap, inferior copies of British movements. Once you get greedy there is always someone prepared to undercut you. Yes MOAB I flagged Fossil up some time ago as a company going places fast. Check the high street jewellers and they seem to have a good variety, but look into it a bit deeper and they are all Fossil. Relic, Abacus, Michele Watch & Now Coach NY, Skagen Denmark and Zodiac Watches. Fossil also makes licensed accessories for brands such as Adidas, Emporio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Burberry, DKNY, Diesel and Armani Exchange. Not bad for a company founded in 1984. They are also buying everything they can lay there hands on in the Swiss industry.
