  2. Ssteel is from the UK, but lives in Finland. Postage to any of the European modders/watchsmiths will not be a problem

  3. Of course it is, of the hundreds of concerts back in the day (in my youth) nothing ever blew up it's about time to wake up and take of the gloves. Do you think I mean mean the UK military or mine no , it's up to good Muslims to fight to get their honor back and stop these indiscriminate killings there is no honor, no religion of any kind in this you know this. My boy fights for you will not you have the courage to fight for yourselves I must ask ? Do not be afraid there are so many more good good people among you unite, only you can stop these atrocities from within. All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to stand by watch it happen and do nothing.

  5. Extremely easy fix... I took a 1,6mm thick 12mm with 3mm double-flanged tips spring bar. Shortened the 3mm pins to aprox 1mm (and both flanges disappear). Now we have a 12mm "classic" springbar with 1mm long and aprox 1mm (diameter) thick pins. Insert in SEL. Push the pins in while attaching to the remaining fized llinks. DONE. 2 mins + a Dremel.

  6. I've reworked that pretty lady. The pushers are better now, I installed a gen top hat T21 and fine tuned the movement for the pushers to operate better... Now I think I can't do much more on this one....

  8. If you guys ever get the chance to read his autobiography 'my word is my bond' do so, its a scream and whats great is he genuinely didn't take himself remotely seriously at all. A great read, farewell Mr Bond

  9. Jesus refused to be drawn on the subject and never claimed to be the son of god in the sense that anyone else wasn't. In the original Greek it is abundantly clear that Mary is described as a young woman, not a virgin. In Jewish society of that time one wasn't really a man until married and it is doubtful anyone would have listened to a boy preaching. All pretty mainstream Christian theology and has been for the last hundred years or so, yet it will come as news to many. Then again Jesus wasn't a blued eyed blond and Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion. I don't care what anyone believes, my father is an Orthodox priest, my eldest daughter is a secular Muslim like her mother was, I'm neither. We can sit down and talk, laugh and love together because that is what decent sane people do. If you can't do that and have to kill for your beliefs, I still don't care what you believe, to me it is irrelevant, you are murdering scum

  11. A despicable act at a venue filled with teenagers. The news reports are pointing to a lone suicide bomber. No mention of religion yet so please keep Muslims and Islam out of this until we know different. No matter what the reasoning the individual was a sick person.

  13. I think ssteel is in the UK. Most people don't know that their local jeweler probably has someone that does watch repair. Most of them do more than just change batteries. It's a good chance they do mechanical repair also. You may want to look around. Good luck

  18. I'm not completely certain, but we might have breaking news on this later today. While in no way trivialising the pain and lose suffered last night, it is worth taking a moment to remember more Muslims have died at the hands of these vermin than Westerners, a few were both. Spare a thought for Ahmed one of the French police killed in the Charlie Hebdo attack for example

  22. I joined as a vintage Omega and vintage Rolex guy. I know a lot more about both now. I notice I more or less ignore a watch or brand for ages, maybe years, then think why didn't I notice how cool these are before. I never liked Panerai, but now I'm more and more drawn to them, Patek 3711, same, Royal Oak models have grown on me over the last couple of years, but I blame you and @Legend for that.

  24. The MQ hands look pretty good, never used them though. ST has good quality hands for 3035/3135 at about $15 a set. Hand installing BS: Hands are usually damaged during installation by handling them with tweezers and/or by the pressing tool used to mount them. Many old timers simply pushed them down with tweezers...one slip and you might kill the hand and/or dial. I try to handle them with Rodico and use a Horotek hand press or pencil type hand press with plastic tips to mount them to prevent damage. Using a piece of thin clear plastic from a plastic bag etc between the hand and the press tool also helps prevent scratches. If the hands are mounted level and you still need to raise one slightly (by bending) to prevent contact, cut a piece of paper about 4mm wide and 50mm +/- long and bend it in a 'U' shape to lift the hand, being careful not to crack the luminous filler. To lower a hand by bending it, use a dowel or pencil hand tool padded with a soft material. Bending hands slightly for clearance is common. Many times hands will not fit (oem and aftmkt) and need to be broached or closed. This is relatively easy to do but requires a steady hand, a few simple tools, and some practice so I will skip it because I bore everyone enough as it is.
