I would think it's the paint but also the process of application that it is most likely not cost effective to replicate exactly. Keep in mind there good enough for most people and 90% of the public would not notice that slight something off in the green that drives us crazy. So if you are the rep factory it's good enough from a cost ratio perspective and of course as you say Indy if they nail it no need for anyone to get the latest V whatever !

The leftmost pic of each series shows the H series font. The center one shows the i series font and is in fact the most accurate of the 3 you’ve shown. The rightmost font is the most inaccurate, trying to be an i series but failing miserably. The dw not being centered is a common flaw in the xf diver and it can be aligned. Hi all. Getting married soon and was sure of one thing regarding to which to wear. It had to be a Daytona 116509. White or Yellow gold was the big question though. So I bought the one I finally decided for. However, I bought a fake version of the one I left out. For me it is difficult to see which one is fake. I can only feel it when I hold both in my hands, the genuine is 3 times as heavy. Guess the experts here can spot a difference within seconds

I always like the 116520, as I think that it is more classy than the 116500LN. I own both the gen black and white ceramic Daytonas. They are for collection and never worn except for pictures.
