Front View Photos Under Lighting View Under the same indoor white lighting, the dials from Clean, VS, and QF have a slightly cool white tone, while APS leans toward a pure white. To the naked eye, the dial color of APS is the closest to the Gen. Bezel & Crystal View The crystal heights from all four factories match the Gen. Clean has updated the crystal on the 1265xx Daytona and there is no obvious improvement after swapping to the Deep crystal. The chamfer of the crystal edge of Clean is more rounded , which is slightly different from the Gen. Bezel Engraving View Since the Gen has been in use for a while, the markers have slight yellowing and smudges. The ceramic bezels from Clean, VS, and QF appear to come from the same accessories factory,with similar numeral font and engraving depth. However, the bezel from the APS is the most closest to the Gen, with more accurate numeral markers thickness and depth. The index scale below the numeral is also slimmer, and the triangular scale is sharper, which is clearly different from the other three factories. Dial Crown and Markers View The dials of Clean and VS come from the same accessories factory,which is the closest to the Gen. the dial markers from the QF is similar to the Clean and VS but with minor differences. APS is no polished triangular scale for the stick markers, appears to more tough. (dial markers from the QF is also good, but it seems to be from the other provider, you could make a comparison and choose one you prefer) Hands and Lume Fill View All four factories have lume fills with a slight pale green tint. Initially, I assumed this was just a characteristic of the lume, but after comparing all five watches under the same lighting,the Gen markers color remained unchanged and consistent with the dial color. The watches from the other four factories showed the light green effect shown in the picture. Dial Printing View Clean and VS dials have slightly wider spacing between the three letters "TER" in "CHRONOMETER" below the crown than the Gen. The APS has the correct spacing, but the overall font on the dial is thinner than the original. The red text "Daytona" under the hands is also lighter than the Gen. The QF font printing looks like a bolder version of the APS. Subdials View Gen has 9-10 black rings, while the APS and QF have the same quantity. Clean and VS have only 7-8 black rings. The sub-dial numbers printed in color and ink thickness on the APS and QF are closer to the Gen,but if you look closely, the continuity of the ink printing on the sub-dial is not as complete as the GEN. Hands and the axles View there is no big difference between the four factories, all of them are seem to be good and welcome to discuss this together. Chronograph Pushers View When unscrewing and screwing in the pushers, the length of the crown of each factory is not much different. the shape of the Clean crown guard is closest to Gen,while VS and QF are slightly thinner, and APS is thicker. Lugs and Side View The steel bracelet of APS is slightly lower than the lugs, but it is flush with the lugs from QF, and Clean and VS are closer . There are no obvious problems with the lug shape of each factory. VS seems to have fixed the lug problem on 126500. The three dots on the crown representing the waterproof level are relatively thicker for VS, while those of other factories are consistent with the Gen. Case Side & Case Back View Bracelet View Both VS and Clean use AR bracelets, Through the actual feel, the steel straps of APS and QF are slightly loose. Clasp Engraving In terms of engraving, you can compare and see which one you like better. Lume Effect View From direct observation, the lume color on all four factory models closely matches the Gen, with similar performance across the board. Rehaut View Movement View Since the Gen caseback cannot be opened, we left blank for the Gen movement picture. VS uses the DD4131 movement, Clean and APS use the second generation of SH4131 (without fake shock absorbers), and QF uses the first generation of SH4131 (with decorative shock absorbers). When shaking the watch, the rotors of VS and Clean make less noise, while the sound of APS and QF is relatively loud. Hello everyone! I’m Steve.  Previously, most of my comparison reviews have been focused on Rolex, but this time, I want to change directions and talk about a popular Cartier model—the Santos. In this review, I’ll be comparing the XL Santos model WSSA0018 and examining how the Gen compares to BVF, KOR, AF, and 3K. I hope this review can provide some valuable insights for those considering a Santos. Front View Front View Under Lighting Due to lighting and angle, there might be slight color differences in the dials across different versions. To the naked eye, the colors of BV, KOR, and AF are almost identical to the Gen, while the 3K dial appears slightly yellowish. This could be because it replicates an older version, WSSA0009, or it might be due to different coatings or materials used during replication. If anyone has more information, feel free to add it in the comments! Bezel Screw Position Regarding the screw positions on the left and right sides of the bezel, 3K appears more accurate, while the screws on the other three versions are closer to the bezel edge. As for the screws at the top and bottom of the case, there are no significant differences among all five. Crystal View The Gen crystal sits slightly lower than the bezel, so you can clearly feel the transition between the glass and the bezel when running your finger over it. In contrast, the crystal on all four replicas is higher than the bezel. In terms of the frosted area (chamfered edge) of the crystal, AF and 3K have chamfer widths closest to the Gen, followed by BV. KOR’s chamfer is too transparent, causing distortion in the dial markers in that area. Dial Markers view Overall, the hour markers on BV and 3K are closer to the Gen in terms of thickness and ink application. while the ink on AF’s markers tends to overflow (confirmed after multiple QC checks, as this issue is present in almost every AF). Additionally, the “Cartier” logo at the 7 o’clock position is most accurate on KOR. Other Dial Printing View At the 12 o’clock position, the “CARTIER” logo on KOR closely matches the Gen in both font shape and ink thickness. BV has some instances of ink overflow in certain QC samples, while others do not show this issue. The printing on AF appears slightly uneven, but this may be an isolated case as it wasn’t found in other QC checks. The font on 3K is slightly thicker than the Gen. Regarding the “Automatic” and “Swiss Made” text, the Gen’s font is finer, with AF being the closest match. Date Font View The date fonts on all four versions are fairly centered, and the background color is a matte silver-gray. AF and 3K have the most similar matte texture to the Gen, while KOR’s font is slightly larger, and the other three have minimal differences from the Gen. Central Axis and Hands View The central axis on BV and KOR is closer to the Gen, and AF has the best hands, being flat overall with smooth, burr-free tips. Crown view The crown guard shape on KOR differs slightly from the Gen, while the other three are relatively closer. All four replicas have their crowns positioned slightly lower than the Gen, but the difference is minimal and hard to notice. For the sapphire on the crown, BV is the closest to the Gen. Lugs and Case Side The overall shape of the lugs shows little difference to the naked eye, but the different polishing chamfer widths on the edges create a visual discrepancy. When comparing the thickness of the bezel (Arrow positions in Image 3), KOR is closest to the Gen, while the other three have slightly thicker bezels. However, when comparing the side chamfers (Arrow positions in Image 4), KOR’s edge chamfer is slightly wider, even extending to the side of the case, forming a small flat surface. Case Back View The screw positions on all four replicas are closer to the edge of the case back compared to the Gen. The Gen watch used in this comparison was produced in 2023, and its engraving differs from the replicas. Bracelet View After testing, the entire bracelet and links from all four factories can be interchanged with the Gen. The bracelet edges on all four are slightly sharp, though 3K’s is slightly better. 3K replicates WSSA0009, with different engraving on the clasp compared to others. Movement View All four versions use Japanese Miyota movements, but the rotor noise on KOR is quite loud. BV, AF, and 3K are much quieter, and the rotor noise is barely noticeable during normal wear unless deliberately shaken. The color of Clean has been recognized already. Apparently, VS did not disappoint us as well. After comparing in various environments, we can find that the colors of VS and Clean should be the same, and we cannot detect any difference. The four factories all use one-gear position movement. There is no calendar ghost position. The crown of Clean’s model was not pulled out when shooting. so I explained it here. Case Side View Endlink View Whether it is the inner or outer edge curvature, Clean is obviously the best one and it is almost same as GEN. Other factories are a little sloppy, especially the lower end of the outer edge does not show a height difference. In addition, let’s focus on the first photo. The endlink of GM and BP are obviously too long. The first link of bracelet is not inside the lug, but below the lug, so GM and BP use the wrong endlink parts. This is really a bit inattentive. Caseback View I’ve seen a lot of Rolex casebacks and they all look the same, so there is really no need to comment, haha.
