  1. Wow you go away on travel for two weeks and look at what happens. WOW. This is my first post back and I'm completely floored at everything that went on here. Anyway, I received my copy of Watch Times and they had two great Panerai articles in them. In one article what struck me the most is that Panerai owes it's success to Stallone. In the article (and on Wikipedia under Panerai) "[Panerai] launch(ed) its products to the civilian market, but remained relatively obscure until the actor Sylvester Stallone spotted and bought a Panerai Luminor in a jewellery store in Rome in 1995 to wear during shooting of the film Daylight.[1] Stallone ordered a small batch of such watches with his signature on the case back, called Slytech. He offered them as gifts to friends, including Arnold Schwarzenegger. The watch gained rapid popularity, and Officine Panerai was eventually taken over by Richemont in 1997."

    Thanks Sly.

btw its good to be back here

  2. Just out of curiousity... wa the 111h from ufanta not very good? I've reading good reviews of it, but I'm wondering why you're gonna pass it up and buy one from Jos instead.

No I purchased the 111H from UFANTA but I purchased the 183G Black Seal from Josh. UFANTA's 111H is great for the money so I took the plunge.

  3. Oye, Bra is hu hu! I smell a hakaka. Haole pupule's had better ho' olohe.

Seriously, sounds like you've had a lot of struggles Bra. Continue to persevere. Pomaika'i & Keep the faith. 1 Peter 3:17

Edited to tell people that the reason you can't read some of it is because you don't speak Hawaiian. Aloha and Mahalo. So no more WTF's please. It's a personal message to an island bra.

  4. It is not terminal at all you have just depressed the set lever out of place, to fix it you need to remove the dial and hands.

You can kind of see what you have done HERE

Can't seem to get the here link to work all I get is this

    "The error returned was:

Sorry, the link that brought you to this page seems to be out of date or broken."

  5. I think I'm just going to get a 2824 from Jules Borel for $74. The person I dealt with isn't on this forum but here's their two websites ifashionzone.com, and www.tswisswatches.com . Honestly they were good to deal with and answered emails quickly and they have offered to replace the movement but given the costs associated with sending it there and waiting, its just not worth it. Here's what I was told

"you need ship it back to china with usps international express mail ,

    and $35 for re-shipping cost

i will exchange a new one to you

if you order a new watch, you only need to pay $20 for extra shipping cost."
