  1. Aye, some posts from TT in the past have disgusted me to the point where I can't make myself donate to RWG. I have donated and am VIP on RepGeek.
  2. lol I just meant, because after buying the gen 7928, I dumped about $500 into it having a lot of work done, and it looked flawless, and now a couple of weeks later the plexicrystal is looking pretty scratched. What's the stuff that is useable to buff out acrylic scratches? Nanuq I couldn't sell my gen Tudor for less than 50,000 goats
  3. Hi there, I have a 7928 Tudor Sub. Only a few weeks ago I had it completely overhauled, serviced, and the crystal replaced. It seems that the standard for the crystal is to use a plexiglass crystal. I hate this because it's already scratched up! Does anyone know if there is a Rolex/Tudor sapphire crystal that will fit in a 7928 case so that I can have this watch for years without scratches? Thank you
  4. Gotta love Tudor subs. I couldn't find a good rep so I bought a gen. It was pretty beat up, had my watch guy service the movement, replace the crystal, and clean the whole thing up. Now it is so gorgeous. It's beautiful because the hands and dial are faded, but they just look so perfectly with the crystal clear crystal.
  5. Please don't feel shot down. TeeJay made a great post. I'm new here, and I'm not "connected" so basically I can never have anything done by The Zigmeister. I would love to have more information about your watch guy and know that there is a place that my rep can have mods and things done to them. Is he in the CONUS?
  6. Hi Pix, I was looking for the B&R thread, but only because I wanted to drool over the watch for a bit I was just bored at home and was looking for it and was curious why all the for-sale threads get deleted upon completion, but now I understand why, and makes sense. In no way did I question or doubt anything about our transaction, you have a stellar reputation and I have no doubt I will be happy! RH101
  7. Hmm.. I read his post as meaning that they have some kind of backup of the sales threads in case there is a problem.
  8. Hi there, I bought a watch off of a member about a week ago, and I went to review the sales thread, and it has been deleted. This seems like a very bad thing to do, in case there is any dispute between what was promised in the sales thread and what is actually delivered. Now it seems if I receive my watch from this member and it's not what was advertised at all, then I have no way to prove it. Is this normal?
  9. Depends who you buy it from. Some people will tell you, if you're a newb, that it's worth about $450
  10. For me the best vintage rollie is a MBW DRSD. Since it graced my wrist I haven't worn my *gen* Tudor Sub. The vintagized MBW DRSD is the most beautiful watch I've ever seen. I just stare at it all day long. The rehaut is so sexy. Sometimes I want to lube up and ..... just kidding.
  11. I don't contribute because I don't like being called out like this. Who do you think you are to try to put people on the spot? You've just made me change my thoughts from "may contribute" to "will not."
  12. My favorite rep, my MBW Vintagized double red Sea-Dweller is selling for $44,000 on Ebay. I paid $250. I wear it with pride
  13. Hey guys Well, it seems that if you order an ETA movement you are likely to get an asian clone anyway. I am not very familiar with how Omega's movements run. Is there much difference between the ETA and asian movements? More importantly, the watch itself is the same, right, just the movement would be upgraded? Thank you RH
  14. To me I'm kind of scared of getting screwed over. Since there doesn't seem to be any delivery confirmation for international shipments via the USPS. I sold a $40 watch to a guy in Australia, and I sent it, and he told me he would assume all risks of it getting lost etc. I never heard from him again, so I assume he got it. But I'd be scared that the person would be able to file a paypal complaint saying they never received the item, then I'd be out the money and the watch.
