  1. Rep -- but it sold yesterday. I still have the rubber strap for $60 shipped
  2. Does anybody think it's worth 350? I wore it twice, not a single mark on the watch but a light scratch on the bezel insert...hence the replacement. Thanks... no pictures, camera has no batteries.
  3. black/white 45mm correct logo and double AR
  4. nice chief! like one of the reviewes that I read said... it's a tool watch... and it sure does feel like it!
  5. Fortis B42 Marinemaster ... I cannot take it off, it's been 2 months already.
  6. Thanks everyone! I initially wanted a 45mm PO but they were 2500+ ... so I started looking at something less expensive. I was looking at a wrist check thread on whatchuseek and I usually look up the watches that I like but don't know anything about...the MSRP was less than Omega, the size was ok - 42mm but with a narrow bezel that made the watch look bigger in wrist shots. So, I started reading reviews about them, looking at photos, choosing straps and finally I started looking at prices - I noticed worldlux had a "email me the price" - it turned out to be 1300 instead of the 1750 msrp ... after looking at more photos I decided to keep my UPO and make it a franken if I have to, and buy this one. I like it so much - somehow I think it's not going to be my last fortis... I'm eyeing this one next Fortis B-42 Flieger Chrono : dieselpower: You're right; I eventually paid for a gen after all those reps just opened my appetite
  7. After having sold my PAM 111h, PO Chrono I was left watch-less... well, I still have an UPO that has been with vaclume/chief for over 4 months now... I liked the UPO a lot so I'm planning to fix the bezel insert (scratch), add get gen dial/hands plus chief's AR... Hmmm maybe if it looks right I'll keep it. So, after a lot of small but annoying issues with all my reps I decided to spend some more money and buy a gen... and yes, it feels different than a rep, the dial details, the bracelet everything feels better. Fortis B-42 Marinemaster Automatic

  9. There was a post on RG a while ago - a guy was saying that the logo has 2 pins that go through the dial - you need to push them from behind the dial to remove the logo, ... then add the new logo and use some glue to fasten the pins from behind the dial... I can't look for the post now...
  10. For me, it's the AR that I know makes a huge difference... so add $45+ to that 1st purchase. See some samples here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=65789
  11. I read a post that says basically that the insurance is bull - it covers you only up to a max - which is different based on the method but it's low anyway - like 75 or 150...
  12. It seems that buying from members is a lot more work and the good deals go fast - so you really need to watch the trade section... My dealer purchases have been ok... one watch was inexpensive to begin with so I didn't expect much in quality, the other was excellent but the hands were crooked - never got that fixed but plan to - of course I would have spotted that in the pictures had I seen the pictures of the watch being sent.
