  1. I am looking for a dial for a no date sub, just like this, with aplied indexes. Can anyone tell me where I may find one? Thank you!
  2. Try Ofrei.com and Watchco in Australia. One of the most elegant watches ever made, IMHO. Certainly deserves an "homage".
  3. I beg you to forgive me for my ignorance on the Submariner replica stuff but could anyone recomend me a european dealer of a decent Submariner Date replica for no more than €250?
  4. ETA 2789 on mine but with a diferent dial. You will have to check out the stem/movement face distance (too small on the 2824).
  5. Well, I went ahead and filed the crown "area" so that it may accept a genuin PO crown and tube. I am a just a bit disapointeed with the bezel construction as teh bezel insert is required for teh instalation of the bezel spring, something that inevitably will lead to issues with the bezel dot alignement with the dial. BTW, I am palnning to instal a 32mm MKII milsub dial, as the original one has irrelevant lume. And that will probably lead meto the instalation on an ETA 2836, as soon as I find out that the movement ring of the movement is adequate. The hands lume can still be seen in th early hours in the morning, something you cannot say about the dial. I am suprised with the movement: it hacks, it handwinds, it has good accuracy, a nice power reserve. It makes you think... I would love to keep it. If I could find suitable hands with decent, functional lume, I might just do that. Even with all the "negatives", I still think it represents amazing value. And I would pay another a 50% plus just to have some decent lume. With replicas I find it hard to justify paying a lot more than that Reg asks for. Go Reg!
  6. BTW, the POrikaa 42mm does not accept gen crowns, by fractions of mm. The Gen has 6.5mm in diameter and the POrikaa 6mm. From what I have seen and learned so far, the POrikaa should be kept and enjoyed as it is.
  7. Friends, I have a 42mm POrikaa and the dial´s proportions seem to be more like the ones on the 45mm. Can anyone tell me the diamter of a gen 45mm dial? Thank you!
  8. The watch will not please the replica perfectionists. The lume is indeed weak. It will not accept a gen bezel (from my measuring and Ofrei data). But still represents the best value I have ever seen, apart from a Casio G-Shock. FABULOUS item. A relume and gen tube, crown and he-valve would make it really smashing. I am very pleased and recommend this watch and Reg too - kind, helpful and understanding. Go for it!
  9. I am also interested in knowing what could be done to a 42mm POrikaa
  10. - People of the world who want a PO 42mm generic case unite!
  11. Thanks, DB2. It would be great if they could just sell the cases (even without the valve but properly threaded for an original tube. A stainless movement ring for a 2824 and a domed sapphire. Gen exterir parts should fit. I would certainly pay more than for a complete watch. I wonder if a special batch could be made for those who like to tinker a bit more. That would open a new market for dials, hands etc, and all perfectly legit.
  12. Did anyone ever try to fit a gen bezel to an... Alpha PO or one of Narikaa new 42mm models?
  13. May we know how the insides of one of Narikaa
