  1. BRILLIANT! Worked like a treat on my BB. Sooooo FAST! Thanks admin
  2. Wowthere command ofenglish is reallygood! Cantunderstand why youhavent contactedthem!
  3. Superb work (again). Your projects are an inspiration!
  4. I agree entirely with this appraisal. That is also one of the reasons I come here. I have learned so much from reading posts here (reading, reading, reading). That being the case, I visit almost daily, enjoy what I see, but only post when I have something (hopefully) interesting to say. Might be why I have been here over 4 years but am only at 800 posts. Doesn't make this place any less of a success IMO.
  5. If the kids are up to it go on a guided walking tour of central London. There are loads to choose from, and they will show you the real, hidden London. The guides are usually 'resting' actors, who also know their subject really well. A very entertaining 2 hours or so, for not much dosh. Have a look at the London Walks website As for watch heaven, as many others have said before, you cannot beat the watch room at Harrods. (BTW avoid Oxford Street like the plague)
  6. I am thinking that is the way to go with this dial, as the red background for the SUBMARINER 'clear' text in the transfer would have to be so close to the SUPERLATIVE (etc. etc.) text that it would be a bugger to align. Problem is, I don't have (or have access to) a colour laser printer with a minimum 1200dpi resolution.
  7. Thanks TeeJay, and slickdick Keep the comments coming, and I'll hoover them all up in one go. We'll get there in the end, no doubt!
  8. Right, here we are again, with what I think is the amalgamation of everone's comments so far... I have also used a pic of a gen dial from an ebay sale, from which I have remodelled the ROLEX font. I think it has all come together quite well. Any further comments, or do I have a thumbs up?
  9. Sure, slickdick. Noted. Will add to the list.
  10. Hi Cats Not touched this project for a while, too many work comitments taking my time. But, will have another tinker with it this weekend and re-post when done. Need to find someone who can print these out somehow. My HP deskjet is mono only. We need colour capability. Anyone???
  11. Beat me to it! So how long did it take? BTW what a great write up! You have some serious talent there. About half way through, I thought it was turning into an Oysterquartz.
  12. Superb. Great finishing touch to a Tudor project. Not cheap, I imagine!
  13. Superb combo. Good choice.
  14. Ok, ok. This is all good feedback. I will fettle a little more. No harm in getting this just right! Who knows, we could end up with a winner.
  15. Third draft, now with metres first, as many have requested. All previous suggestions now incorporated (I think). Any other comments, or are we ready to print???
  16. "GET IN THE BACK OF THE VAN!" Policeman 2. Withnail & I. 1987
  17. "Molto bene, Dad". Michael Caine. Italian Job. 1969.
  18. Phwaaaaarrrr! What a looker!
  19. Superb work. You have some enviable talents, for sure!
  20. As far as I know, there are winding gears that are fixed to the underside of the rotor on this model. It may not be as simple as just removing a central screw. Try looking here for the ETA tech docs on that model. This is a "Mecaline Specialities" product in the drop down box.
  21. No fonts are used. This is all vector work. I traced a dial picture.
  22. As this is a transfer over a dial 'blank' the date window is cut out after application. Consequently, you don't need to include it in the graphic.
