  1. I'm only semi-reliable and only on this one era. 🤣 But happy to help! I've learned plenty from a lot of the folks here.
  2. If the movement is strong, that's not a bad price for a '71 with original dial.
  3. That's well-worn but legit 1675. Dial is definitely a legit Mk.1 "Long E" dial used from '67 to '71. I have a '67 GMT with same dial. And here's a pic of a loose Long E I recently sold for $3.5k. The "O" may look weird but that's how they rolled in that era. Case looks legit too. How the insert fits in the bezel is my only question, but if it's real it's worth a ton. That's a very fat font. How much did they want for it?
  4. I've been doing a deeeeep dive and looked at all the amazing printed dial work that Bart Cordell, Breitling, etc. have been doing over the years. Now all I can think about is turning my 1963 1003 w/1560 movement (Bought here from JoJo35 a decade ago) into a gilt gloss underline 5500 Explorer. The Yuki , MQ, etc. dials are nice, but I was wondering if anyone has advanced the ball on printed gilt gloss dials and, if so, did they want to take my watch on as a project. I'm going to need a vintagized dial, vintagized gilt hands (lumed to match, of course) and bezel, since the one on my 1003 is engine-turned. I'll just keep my original dial/hands/bezel and put them back on if I ever decide to sell. If anyone is interested in taking this on, please PM me. Thanks!
  5. I didn't even know these existed. SO cool.
  6. Gen 372 with the lighter of the two straps it came with. Beat-to-hell buckle.
  7. Hey, Everyone, Just put up my '67 Doxa Sub 300 "No T" on eBay. Bought this over a decade ago. Serviced by The Zigmeister back in the day. Runs great. End links courtesy of the Fantastic Mr. Nanuq. If you're interested and have any questions, give me a shout. I won't be ending it early, though. UPDATE: Just posted a few more pics including the case back, bracelet and end links. Cheers, Steve https://www.ebay.com/itm/113843415126
  8. Depending on the condition of the watch, for sure. I've scoured the planet for a two-line chapter ring dial which would be correct for my 557XXX serial number.
  9. That damn dial is the difference between my PCG being worth $25k+ instead of $12k. Sigh.
  10. Here's a pic of my '61 5512 for reference. Sadly not the original dial - was replaced with one from '67 at some point in its life.
  11. You just apply a small amount to the crystal, then rub pretty hard with a clean cloth. Takes awhile, but the scratches disappear completely. Used it on my 1676 and 5512, too. Works like a charm.
  12. Not a chance, Rene. MJC, I dinged up my plexi within hours of putting it on. A little Polywatch and, viola, it's good as new. Been wearing this non-stop for a week. New favorite watch.
  13. Holy Crap! An extra plexi? I had no idea! Thanks for the heads (or, rather, bottoms) up!
  14. A little something I just got in the mail today.
  15. Sorry for the bad/dusty shots. Man, I love this thing. Have a great weekend, everyone.
  16. GENuninely jealous. Gorgeous.
  17. Thanks for the tip. I'll probably just have Zig service the A7753 and see how she runs...while letting someone else be the Valjoux pioneer.
  18. What? I gave my review, too. Seriously, it's really nice. Huge, but doesn't feel too bulky. I'll take some more pics this weekend at the EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh. Gonna have Zig service the movement (possibly throw a gen 7753 in there) and maybe lighten the shade of lume on the main hands to look more gen-like. Anyone have any other suggestions on possible mods?
