  1. I know BK is still arownd... Any updates on wm9?
  2. Just wanna add some more shots to share with you, guys...
  3. But now days you can do mods of "not"-fakes to. there's a bunch of makers who sells aftermarket parts for a number of brands. I opend this topic about two years ago and surprised to see it's been read during this time. I discovered Seiko for myself as my favorite brand. Not just Seiko - Japanese market Seiko. They make outstanding quality watches for their market. Only sources of the watches are online sellers from Japan (seiya, chino brothers, higuchi) and you know... e*b*a*y... I don not regret to move from fakes to Seiko. They are awesome and because they are different from what you can buy in North America for instance - they stand out. Just check out some models - google it - SARB001, sarb005, sarb 003, sarb021, sarb033, sarb017, sarb065, sarb057, sbdc005, sbdc001, sbdc003.... Also japanese Orient - same story! all these watches and a number of other models will please you more than any fake... And if you get bored - buy some spare parts and install a new bezel, dial or hands. Good luck everyone! alex
  4. Hi again guys! i guess this is quite late reply and i kinda swallowed it in the first place. But then I accidentally ran onto this link http://www.seiyajapan.com/category/2_seiko_mechanical/ and was amazed what Seiko actually makes! So, while some watchmakers produce same model over and over again and at the end of the day you pay for gold case and bracelet - Seiko actually along with classy models goes ahead with technology, stile and quality... So, I honestly do not mind to stick with SEIKOs. I hope at least some of you would share my opinion... thanks!
  5. to Stephane: thanx for your comments. Actually, the reason (or better say - reasons) I raised the question about the respected here wm9 and bk are a big discussion about "gold-goldplated" part and quite conflicting info about them. I understand that they do almost a custom job to produce watches (reps) and that is why i DID not ask "who produce the best subs?". and because i have not dealt with either of them I do not have my own opinion about them (i thought i was clear on that referring to other's opinions). I admit I posted it in the wrong section and the reason is - I just hit "new topic" right after i finished reading of that "gold" one. Again, i feel sorry for causing this confusion and misunderstanding. Also, your comment about language barrier - i guess, it is partially my fault - i'm not a native engliss-speaking dude, but making my best effort to join english-speaking community within of area of my interest. I was no a big fan of Rolex for one reason - the firs question people ask seeing it on you - "rolex? hm... is it real?" Hell, NO! but after i got my first green LV i changed my mind - it's exactly the size and design i feel comfortable to have on my wrist! looking forward to have some more for my collection. and not subs only...
  6. thank you for the info! and I agree about what you said about this forum - I'd expect to meet grown up people here but with small exception (and they know who they are) it looks like it is some kinda "game forum" with a bunch of cocky teens.
  7. thaxn for all comments - nice and bitter once. i did not pay attention at what section i posted my topic - i guess, sorry about it. did i want to destroy their reputation - No! If I did I'd started it with some false statement, probably. to me it looks like it's some private club here with favorites and watch dogs. do you think you'll get discount from who you defend. You know, desire to get some info turned into some sh*t shoveling. shame on you.
  8. fys but thanx for the comment about the watches
  9. Hello everyone. I've been a silent member of this community for a while - was just reading with small exceptions... Anyway, i've read a number op topics about wm9 - some of you are very excited about his (her? ) existence. Some were not happy. From what i understand wm9 is a dealer and BK is some kind of a modder (?). Some of you think that there's no QC at wm9's side and the other half cannot wait to receive a new seadweller by August. Some called wm9 a scammer for claiming gold parts in the watches which in fact are gold plated (exceptional quality). Some believe that wm9's watches are overpriced and some agree they are priced reasonably speaking of quality. Most of you agreed that wm9 is a very nice and pleasant person to deal with. About BK i found very little info. http://www.rwg.cc/members/George-wm9-real-...amp;hl=wm9+gold So, who are they? Do we prefer them to other dealers and why? Do they lie about materials (gold) and movements (found some comments about wm9 using not swiss made ETA). Does it worth it to pay over 500 for what you can get for 300 (and do you get the same stuff for 300 and 500?)? Dear George and BK, please do not take my comments personally - i do not intend to make any harm to your reputation, I do not know you but I truly want to know as much as possible about you, especially because i plan to make some purchases from you. The reason I ask - i do not want to waste my money, i do not cr@p it - work hard to earn it. I will appreciate any comments! Thank you!
  10. guys, does anyone know rep friendly watchsmith in calgary area - i need to change hands on my Rolex Sub LV. Thanx!
  11. thanks for your comments guys! here's another one - where and how you learned how to mod reps??? - basic watchmaker's knowledge and stuff...
  12. no offense man - is this what we should say when busted? in what way they are more interesting? they are crappier - definitely! more interesting?- doubt it.
  13. hi guys! do not get me wrong - i'm one of us... or at least used to be. so, here's a question - why do you buy fake watches? You buy it and you, most likely, say to your surroundings that this is a real stuff. Except, may be your closest friends know you bought a knock-off. And you have to hide it sometimes from cool dudes who have real Rolex and Omegas (name it) - because if you put two things aside you are busted! And this is a same to admit you have a rep. Even if you have nothing to compare to your watch some people can easily recognize reps or at least suspect you got one. For example, i showed my submariner LV to one of them - the guy used to have a Rolex. He was amazed about its quality but his first comment was - is not it should be shinier? And he was right - Rolex does not use 316 grade steel! Even whatchmaker9 cannot fix it with all my respect!!! Some watches come with unacceptable quality and we just do not wear them at all! Over past two ears i have bought more than a dozen watches - i have some Seikos and Citizens also among my Omegas, Rolex, Panerai etc. So, what i noticed recently, that my beater is Seiko diver's watch. Also, simple math - if i saved all the money i spent on replicas i could buy a decent real watch and wear it proudly. Bottom line - are we losers? Why do we buy fakes? alex P.S. I can not stop buying fakes myself - i'm addicted... what will be my next one??? some of my watches:
