  1. OK, they *want* to interrogate you... they are customs, they are not the police. just write them a polite letter telling them that you have no idea what they are talking about, unless they believe you are part of any criminal activity and have evidence then you will not be complying. and just a side thought... can you verify the building they want you to go to genuinely belongs to Belgian customs?
  2. OK, point taken, but from a logical standpoint, the watch reviewed has existed for a good few years, so the odds of it having no updated internals are higher. if you got hold of the black one, which AFAIK hasn't existed up until now, that'd be the acid test for me.
  3. I would be interested to see the guts of one of these new black Daytonas floating around, everywhere is touting them as having new internals.
  4. well, I have to say, it's 14k wrapped gold, and it's pretty bloody good; I separated it from the watch head and it has complete engravings etc, definitely quite a good bit of workmanship, save for the crappy job done on holding that one link in :\
  5. I'm in the process of working it out, but I wanted some opinions anyway as there isn't actually anything on the dealer's website regarding warranty. it is one of the trusted dealers however, so, here's hoping. and no, I wasn't prying at the bracelet or anything of the sort. it's a bad assembly job from what I can see.
  6. So, I posted a couple of weeks ago with some pictures of my new two-tone Daytona. Well... since then, I'd noticed the link closest to the head of the watch seemed to be loose (sides moved out so you could see the pins keeping it together) and now finally, the lot came off and looks like this: morally speaking, surely you'd agree that considering the fact there's no abuse of any sort to the bracelet or watch that I'd be entitled to a free replacement, especially considering the timeframe - it's essentially defective goods. however, where do I stand from a realistic point of view? since of course, I realise that it's not the dealer's fault, but nonetheless, I thought the point of buying from a dealer is to get some sort of guarantee. oh the irony... and I was worried about the seconds@6
  7. yes, it is. I'll post a pic like the one above as soon as I get some daylight to do it in.
  8. finally got it, have a butchers; http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=84925
  9. Bought a Daytona TT from ptswiss.com - arrived home to look at it finally and taken a few snaps, I'll upload one of the face currently, if anyone wants to see any particular angle other than that, post. the secs@6 seems to be behaving well, but it's early doors yet I suppose, anyway, have at it:
  10. Has anybody heard of www.sinowatches.com ? They appear to also have posted a lot of demo videos of their watches on youtube, anybody familiar with them? http://www.youtube.com/user/sinowatches
  11. Yeah, I'm not planning to take it swimming any time soon, was just checking it was OK to do nonetheless as I might occasionally run water over it, paranoid eh? I guess the Asians need to nab themselves a proper Daytona movement and clone that to get things working reliably.
  12. Ah, very nice... two questions in that case: how long have you had her and is the seconds@6 still functional?
  13. haha, yeah, the website's interface is pretty unforgiving, especially if viewed from a 1024x768 laptop monitor... half the menu items are off screen, fortunately I figured out the trick to get to them. The one PT has advertised on his site also has a rather good winder on it, I'll see if I can crack the caseback on it and take a look. Just one noob question... if I do take the caseback off, will I need to do anything special to ensure it doesn't let water in? (other than screwing it on as tightly as it was before)
  14. bought it from Ptswiss.com - it's a 14K with wrapped gold.
  15. I haven't actually "got" it as I'm currently out of the country, however, the person who signed for the delivery has kindly taken photos of it for me. When I actually personally get my hands on it, I'll take some (hopefully better) pics with the wrapping removed. But for now... have at it.
