  1. I've had watches sitting at customs for a week, according to the tracking info, and then they got delivered the following day. Tracking info updates really only tell you the last place it was..
  2. The TD section could be updated every hour, but there are so many who, unlike you, don't do enough research, that it would be somewhat pointless. Sorry to hear about your problems though.
  3. Happy New Year wishes to everyone from the West coast of Scotland. I hope 2014 brings you all that you wish for!
  4. I'm interested in this too, Pete. I have a Dremel and sort of know what you're talking about regarding the compounds and wheels etc. although I've never used any of them myself. What about a tutorial, if you have time?
  5. Hmmmm............yes, absolutely!
  6. I got mine from Joshua and I am very, very, happy with it. No flaws on the case at all, as far as I can see, and the pattern is also good. None of the woodgrain effect on some of the early ones. It is quite matt, but there is a sort of side sheen which actually looks quite high quality.
  7. No mains sockets allowed in bathrooms in the UK!
  8. This has definitely got to be very near the top of the list......
  9. I'm with you! Got mine a few days ago and love it. It was £300 and not £22,000, but who is ever going to know what the minor flaws are, unless you take it into an AD? I'll service it when it needs it, but I won't be doing any mods, it really is good enough as it is.
  10. To be honest, my biggest worry was that the yellow on the inner bezel would go to the end of the marker at 3 instead of stopping halfway, which mine does, so I'm not really concerned about the height of the caseback lettering. It's kind of like hating a really good rep because the display caseback lets you see the movement isn't right. If you want the correct movement, or other stuff to be absolutely perfect, you'll need to pay the correct money!
  11. Thanks for a very interesting and honest review. All things considered, it's still a very, very good rep and I'm still really excited about getting mine. I don't have the SS Diver to compare it to and I very much doubt if I'll ever see a gen (there are only 4 ADs in the whole of the UK, and only 1 of them is in Scotland, 80 miles away in Edinburgh) so the flaws such as the crystal and the caseback engraving probably won't bother me too much. Enjoyed your review and with what I've seen so far, I'll be more than happy if mine turns out to be the same.
