  1. Probably because the DSSD is not a very popular gen tbh. Not sure how many gen owners are aware of the fact that there are many good reps of it, so that might not play such a big factor.
  2. And that's something i respect! I love this hobby, but one aspect i dont like about it is that a lot of people are in it just to decieve people about their watches. They go around telling people its Gen, or implying that it is gen, so they can parade around pretending to be someone they're not and trying to trick people into thinking they bought at 20k watch when they actually bought a 0.5k watch. What i do is enjoy the rep, like you, and that's what i love. I love wearing pieces that look fantastic and feel fantastic, but i dont try to deceive anyone by directly implying, or otherwise, that its the genuine article.
  3. That was my understanding as well. Only the applied logos have the shortened feet, presumably to make them look tidier, which i think i can agree with as they look odd on the reps.
  4. Love the Seamaster 300 mate, fantastic looking watch woo! Going to get it done up by bienne? The PO looks good too! You've really made me want to get some watches just to open them up and mod them! If you replace your crystal or get it AR'd, dont forget to update the thread
  5. The GMT IIc is good but way easy to tell unfortunately. For me the two most obvious tells are that the bezel has either thicker or thinner numerals, depending on the version and the rehault engraving is off (the letters line up with the minute markers, but they don't in the reps).
  6. That looks great! i love this model, perhaps one of my favourite tags. Are there any flaws or tells to this rep? Looks pretty gen to me!
  7. Couldn't be any more true. But that said, there are hobbyists, similar to ourselves, that will go out on a watch or car that they like. For example, the civic driver could be a WIS and wear a PP whilst the Lambo driver might not care about what's on their wrist and wear a Tag or similar.
  8. Wow, thanks a lot irontomkidd. Looks like i can't go wrong with this strap, unless i get a different one to the one pictures. Not sure if all that orange will go well on my wrists, but hey, its orange! Thanks!
  9. Thanks for the replies guys! Yeah, i think i am definitely sold on the strap and orange PO after seeing your pictures - it just looks fantastic! Does anyone know where i can purchase the orange strap + deployant for cheapest? Puretime http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.p...ture_id=478770 They have it for a nice $50 but shipping is $15! Their deployant also looks close to the gen from what i know. I'm just afraid that the printed leather will look obviously printed, or does it actually look like croc? Can anyone suggest other places to get it? Thanks!
  10. Wow, i definitely like the Croc in those pictures! What is the quality like, particularly the crocodile grain? Also, where did you get your fantastic strap from? Thanks!
  11. Ahh my bad! Here's the working one http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?pro...cture_id=478770 Thanks!
  12. Hey, I'm thinking of getting the Orange UPO but i wouldn't mind it with the bracelet and also a nice croc/leather strap, in orange! Similar to this one: http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.p...ture_id=478770 Does anyone have any pictures of how the fake croc looks? Also, is the deployant that comes with it of decent quality and close to gen? I'm just afraid of the 'croc printing' on the leather looking fake. Are the crocodile grains actually imprinted on the leather, or is it just printed on with ink? Would love to see some of your pictures of the replica croc strap, even in brown or black! Thanks
