  1. Credit card companies often stop payments to overseas, it just part of fraud protection. It happened to me earlier this week attempting to pay PT. All you need to do is call your bank and explain that you have tried to make a purchase for the amount of dollars to an online shop in China. Once they have your authorisation to make the payment they will either allow the payment to go through or tell you to make your online purchase again. Your bank don't need to know who the payment is to, they just want your authorisation to make the payment. My situation was that the payment was stopped by the bank, therefore, my order with PT didn't go through. I just made the order and payment to PT again and it went through without any problem. I received my QC photos yesterday and now the watch is on its way [emoji4] It should work out for you too [emoji6]
  2. Great review! I tried the gen today at my local AD, you're review has convinced me to get the rep. Thank you!
  3. I use levers too, for the last 10yrs in fact, never experienced this problem. The levers offer so much more control over other methods [emoji6]
  4. The red lever is the one you want to move to get you timing sorted. The purple lever is extremely sensitive and the minutest movement of that lever can make a big difference to the timing. If you move it too much it can make it a nightmare task to get it right. I speak from experience!
  5. Not to stumble on toes, I have a new signature now that I know TT already uses it.. respect. Savi
  6. Fakemaster - What can I say, you're a complete hero! I hadn't come across your review and I must say it was exactly the info I was looking for. Excellent! I thought that it almost certainly would have to be a quartz rep as I couldn't see how it could be done as an auto. This was the reason I made the exclaimation at
  7. I'm interested to see what the guy comes up with. I've asked him for full details on the spec too. If its got faux dials I'm not going to be interested at
  8. Grand CARRERA Calibre 36 RS Caliper Concept Chronograph Hi guys, I've just come across an ad on a UK used and new goods site selling a New Replica Grand CARRERA Calibre 36 RS Caliper Concept Chronograph(
  9. Hey, thanks fot the welcome guys, its great to have local members, we'll definately have to meet sometime! Have a great Christmas and New Year.... Peace... Savi
  10. Hi all.... I've decided finally to introduce myself! I've only been a member a few days and thought it would be good to get to know my way around the site first... WOW what and excellent site this is! Every single question I have is posted with an answer somewhere on this forum, brilliant! The reviews are outstanding in depth of detail, comparisons with the gens, photo's and members feedbacks with additional information that may have been overlooked... Superb! I am a watch fanatic and have loved watches since I got my first Timex divers watch - white dial with date and white with black outlined arabic numerals with green lume, white besel with white raised numerals, white plastic case, white hands with green lume, white leather strap, white plastic buckle, very similar to a sub actually but obviously an all white version - for my Christmas present at the age of six... I've bought many midrange gens and a couple of reps over the years - the usual subs, but got into buying and reselling top end gens from auction houses and pawn shops to suppliment my income as a session musician playing drums and bass guitar. I'm now returning to reps as the secondhand gen market is to much hassel for me and I don't have the funds to make as much money in the gen game as I would like or to keep the gens that I adored... I intend to start buying the best qualty reps that are out there and then mod them myself with the help of the fantastic tutorials on this site. I used to renovate the cases, bracelets etc on the gens I used to get but not the besel inserts, crystals or any of the movements. This is my opportunity to start learning those things without throwing thousands of pounds away when I make mistakes. I'm going to buy some really cheap secondhand reps locally to practice on whilst buying top end reps to mod at a later date, like as soon as I'm confident enough to attempt a good job of it! My first proper mod will be on a white dial Explorer II rep as I absolutely love the simplicity and class of this watch. I saw my first genuine one when I was around 16 and have coveted one ever since. I owned a gen once, but only for a month as times were hard and I very reluctantly had to sell it... Now I'm taking up this great hobby and just I know it's going to be a really fun ride! Looking forward to the journey.... Peace. SAVI
