  1. I've been out for such a long time, that "Ingod dial" doesn't sound familiar and I have no clue about JB-Weld. I guess I need somebody whom I can hand over the MBW 1665 and let him do his thing. I'll post some pix and a list of what has been done to my 1665. And than hopefully I'll get the correct tips of what to do next.
  2. Thanx Because I haven't been around for a loooong time I don't remember RolexAddict. FXAndy is known
  3. Hi guys, I have a heavily modded MBW 1665, however it still has an old ETA mvt inside. I would love to get a gen 1570 caliber in that watch to complete it. But who in the EU can do this?
  4. If i'm correct the 16000 series DJ used the 3135 movement So again... IF i'm correct it should be a perfect fit.
  5. Thanx for the advice guys... sound like my initial thought to ask 650 euro was not too far off
  6. So cool to see all you guys posting me a nice welcome back :-) It's strange because I'm complete out of the rep-thing, visited numerous "gen forums", but never experienced anything like RWG on any of the other forums. @Omega... know what you mean. They are indeed still very tempting
  7. Hi guys, I'm looking to sell the last remaining replica I have, a Rolex Datejust 16200. All parts are original Rolex, except the hands (Tudor) and movement (ETA). This means an original rolex case, crystal, dial and bracelet. I could use some advice on what a reasonable price would be, before posting it in the trading forum. I think I paid around 600 euro for all parts and this does not include the work done to put it all together. I hope it's OK that I post this here in the Rolex forum. Here are some photos of the Datejust.
  8. Hi guys, It might sound strange... but it feels very familiar here and it brings back so many memories! Later this week I'll make some photos of the DJ and will dig up the parts (gen Submariner dials and old rep bracelet parts, maybe even a crown) and post them in the trading zone as well. Do you guys still organize meetings like in Brussels at Stephane's?
  9. Thanx Kruz, Andy and Mike. @Andy... I'm doing well, although very busy. I quit reps for a long time already, but I guess I already told you that the last time we met. How are you doing?
  10. YES!! Looks good Marsupilami! Likewise Dutchguy. It's been a while Hope all is fine!
  11. Thanx Freddy! Good to see you're still around and also good to learn Ziggy is still mod-king of the forum :-) Guess I'll put the DJ and Panerai parts in the sales corner. Do anyone have an advice on a reasonable price for the DJ (as said... Rolex except the hands (Tudor) and movement (ETA)).
  12. Hi guys, It's been a few years since I visited RWG, since I quit reps and my life is just too busy. Now I still have this 1665 that I would love to get a gen caliber 1570, however... who to turn to these days? Besides that I also have some thing laying around that I'd like to sell, like a Datejust (original Rolex case, jubilee bracelet, dial, crystal and crown, Tudor hands and ETA mvt.), several Panerai parts like gen crowns, etc. I really have no clue anymore what to ask for most of the parts. I hope some one will be so kind to helping me to sell the DJ and parts and find someone to work on my old 1665 SD (originally modded by Oliver). Besides that I'm also curious who of the old gang is still around...
  13. :notworthy: H O L Y S M O K E ! ! ! Andy... what an amazing work. Doing so much movement modifications isn't easy, let alone creating your own regulator. I'm very, very impressed.
  14. My caseback has the cruved edge of the caseback polished... the gen and the rep shown by you guys has that outer edge brushed. That's the main difference. But the engraving is also less deep and more 'fine'. You think one of the dealers will sell a caseback seperately?
  15. thanx guys, this confirms my ideas... the caseback of my 3717 has a slightly different polishing and less deep engraving. Seems i need to get a different caseback to my my almost perfect 3717 a bit better Now where to find it....
