  1. Getting the old case was the easy part for me... getting the mov't and getting it installed has taken me 2 years......
  2. Thanks Alligoat! Your response was just what I was looking for. I don't feel ripped off anymore, but I do feel a little silly for not knowing that it won't fit my modern SD
  3. Thanks for the reply. It relieves me a little to know that it is not the pearl material that glows but rather a coating.
  4. Looking for opinions. Is this seller really selling genuine parts?? I purchased and received this bezel. There is no lume to the pearl . I probably should have asked this question before buying but like usually I jumped first. replace xx with tt hxxp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=220157568519 Thanks for the help.
  5. This is very tempting, If I had the skill to swap out the mov't in my 196 (and superlume it ) I'd be all over this!

  7. He didn't steal them, just redistributed them.... I have the back of number 65: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=7717&hl=
  8. Thats cool, can Henry try and track down the standard caseback that comes with the Railmaster? I've been comparing the movement to RM's from dealers and it matches dead on with Trusty's 2824-2, even the engraved "25 rubies Auto-Prince".
  9. oh, I posted my last response before reading this. So now my only question is who sells the proper caseback for the Railmaster??
  10. Yeah, I sensed the bitterness from the old threads. So... did you get this from a dealer or another board member? The trail could lead back to the guy that took the money and ran.
  11. I was curious too, actually more curious about the movement as the back reads ETA 2836. I cannot tell one movement from another however the dealers seem to be offering their Railmaster model with ETA 2824. This lead me to wondering why the watch was a limmited Ed and to the RWG initials. With help from members from another board I found posts here that refer to a collaboration watch project. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...l=collaboration
  12. I have read through some of the threads about the RGW 1 watch and understand that not all of them were delivered but as a noobie I know little else about the watch. Perhaps some of you saw this offered in the "for sale" section, if not here is the Railmaster that I just purchased. However, the back looks like this: I'm not sure of the dealer it came from as I purchased it from a member. I figure somebody here might find this interesting.
  13. "Wow, I never knew paypal would just leave you hanging after winning a settlement." I've had 2 cases go to paypal arbitration on eBay purchases (not reps). In The first case Paypal ruled in my favor, however since the seller had no funds remaining in their paypal account they did not reimberse my payment. The second case was when I made a foolish purchase of a used laptop (~$300). The laptop came DOA. Paypal uses the DOA situation as an example how it's "buyer protection policy" will protect a buyer. They ruled against me without further explanation. All subsequent emails from paypal stated that their descision was binding and not reversible. I hate paypal with a passion, unfortunately there is not a better alternative for online payments that I am aware of. On the bright side I'm spending a lot less money on eBay.
  14. Just when I am considering buying one (rep) I see an add on CNBC for one. I have never seen Omega's advertized on TV before today (it was a jeweler of course). Everyone is out to get me!
