  1. Guys, Haven't been here for a long time. How's going? I've been spending more of my time... fishing. Is there anyway to get the VIP membership? The upgrade tab doesn't allow me to email to pm the administrators. I need to sell some of my franken BCE watches. Thanks!
  2. Morning fishing on the dock.
  3. Still sporting my franken SOH V2. Believe it or not, I have been wearing this for about two month now, and I still don't have to adjust the time... Weird. Even my gen Omega chronometers can't perform like that. The movement is an old service Rado 2824-2 movement I think.
  4. Moved to the FS section. Sorry guys, I accidentally posted here. Thanks!
  5. Guys, I'm thinking about buying one as one of my only three quartz watchs. Could you please tell me the differences between the gen an rep? On our dealers websites, the watch is listed as "production over run". What does it mean? Thanks guys!
  6. Hmm... I will think about it . Definitely take it for swimming if I get a chance.
  7. Just an update! I finally made myself to get my franken SOH WR testing... guess what! It passed 200M!!! Not bad!!!
  8. My problem is the curvature. If it's a little flatter, it won't dig into my wrist as much at the end of day.
  9. Guys, So far I have only found one clasp that's comfy, but unfortunately it's on a SS bracelet. The bottom of the clasp is not as curved, so it doesn't dig into my wrist. Does anyone know if I can find a similar clasp for the rubber straps? I don't really care how close it is to the real thing, just need to be well made and comfy. Anyone? If you can post me a link, I'd appreciate it very much!
  10. How is the rubberized bezel on the current medium sized Abyss? Good enough or?
  11. I have tried a lot of straps, but by far the only thing looks good on the SOH is the SS mesh bracelet. Some day I will have to empty my pocket on a gen one.
  12. My SOHC v2 lume is decent. SOH v2 is just ok, but the lume dots are very small to care
  13. I'm not sure if I agree or not. You should expect the quality to be great, but I don't think it's automatically guaranteed. The sec at 12 complications are not really reliable. I'm not sure having the movement serviced (another $200) would fix it or not. If can't be fixed, the running second hand at 12 will need to be frozen. The diver has its own quality flaws. The inner rotating bezel is made out of plastic and so it could wear out pretty fast if using the bezel regularly. I have heard the stem for the crown rotates the bezel is also weak. It breaks easily. Good luck on finding any more parts. The caseback and case also have a small gap I'm not sure how to fix... These are just quality flaws, not including the inaccuracies.
  14. I'm wearing my diver for the last several days. It's not bad. I think for better reliability, get the diver with SW200 movt. I would get the Safari later.
  15. Best of luck everyone! Stay safe! By the way, what watch are you going to be wearing. Not that matters, just curious.
  16. Today, I took my AP diver to the mall and had it tested for WR. It barely passes 40m test. Only thing I did after getting out the the box is tighten the caseback screws slightly and resized the bracelet. I guess this is not bad for everyday wearing. I think the WR can only improve if I silicone grease the gasket. Now, I'm curious how well the WR is on the new Hublot King Diver since it has one-piece screw down caseback...
  17. Guys, I have a deployant clasp with one unlatching pusher piece missing. Can I move this pusher from another Pam clasp for parts? What do I need to do to remove it? Thanks? Wei
