  1. I'll have one of the watches put into the sale section in the upcoming days.
  2. Then I guess you can live with the flaws of the rep then Some people cannot.
  3. One thing I'm worried about is people trying to portray the watch as genuine (like mspeed said) and then selling it to make money, hence I would probably be limiting the watches to only a few pieces.
  4. Charging $1500 for a fully serviced/waterproofed RBII Rubens Barrichello with gear mod, satin skeletal plate with white-gold plating. Too expensive? Trying to monopolize the idea at the moment, all work done by a very competent watch maker from Singapore. Will post pics up. EDIT: Each watch will also be fully disassembled, movement cleaned and oiled case is waterproof tested then reassembled. Watch after the work is finished will be 98% close to the gen. One of the replicas we made was shown to an AP dealer in Hong Kong (good friend) who was floored by what he saw. Him, like most people have never seen an Rubens Barrichello in the flesh, thought was genuine until told otherwise.
  5. Quality is the same as the RB2 Ti. Problem with RB3 is that is titanium coated in gold, making it much lighter than the steel versions. If you've ever held a gold watch in the hand, holding an RB3, you will know immediately that something is off, this is slightly less obvious when holding a steel watch coated in gold. Also, the back logo is slightly different, it is matt PVD steel, where as the gen is glossy mirror ceramic. Other things to note are that like the RB2, the plate underneath the dial is completely different. Personally I'd wait till they fix the case back.
  6. Currently looking into doing the CotesDeGeneve engraving
  7. Whoever said modding the plate was easy, well, it's not. The following took bloody 4 hours for the first attempt, and the positions are slightly off. But doesn't look too bad at this point. Things to do: - Hand polish the extra holes I've cut. They're quite rough - Fix some of the positioning - Find better fitting screws - Brushing the plate into a satin finish; then plating it with white gold. Forget about the Geneve wave decorations, it's impossible without the right tools. In the photo, I've simply polished the original swirl plate to a mirror shine.
  8. Of course. I would like to work this out, and find out what the problem is which lead to such action. If you could pass this on to the admins at RG that would be great! Much appreciated!
  9. Just today I logged in to Repgeek.com only to find a message that I could not access the site. (Effectively banned.) No reason was given to me so I have no idea what's happening. I also have a pending purchase of which I bank wired over $1000 to a seller for some watches. So with all his contact details in my PM box, I do not know how to contact him; or whether he will still honor the sale. Could someone who's also on Repgeek please help me out. My username is "mrbrown" and I am a VIP member on RG.
