  1. I dipped the watch in a solution of OxyClean and boiling water for 30 minutes.
  2. I think I may of got carried away darkening my titanium Daylight.
  3. I'm going to put it out there, I think my username is pretty cool. Perhaps it's a little too descriptive but nevertheless I like it.
  4. Anyone? doesn't even have to be all that good!
  5. The rep strap is complete rubbish but the deployant is excellent. I should of gone with the rubber with the deployant.....
  6. Just reflections off the date magnifier.
  7. I haven’t purchased a rep for 4 years.... up until four weeks ago!!! Just got an AP ROO and the new Panerai 250, very impressed with both of them. The AP was dead on arrival (second sub dial would freeze at the 25 second mark every 15 minutes) but I sent it back to Josh (Perfect Clones) in China who repaired it and sent it back. I was in Firenze in July on holidays and my wife had given me the green light to buy a genuine 250 from Panerai’s AD in the main square. I must have gone to the store 3 times but ultimately thought if I wait I'm sure they will release a better rep of the model - actually I thought $5000 euro was a little steep and I was a little peeved at the customer service. The closeness to the authentic 250 or is it 236 is amazing, I can't tell the difference - well I can but overall the differences are inconsequential when you take price into account..... The C/G lever on my 236/250 is as straight as a dye - I don't think the problem is all that wide spread.... but I could be wrong!
  9. Hi, I'm in Sydney. Can you also add me to the list. Thanks.
  10. Unfortunately the scan doesn't do this Panerai justice but take a closer look and you'll notice that the tourbillion is complimented by a moon phase sub dial not to mention the superb
  11. Ken, I hope you feeling better and like you I can't think of anything better than spending time with your children.
  12. Red Sub, I've had one on my wrist for the last 17 years and I still can't fault it.
  13. Does anyone know what Bricktop is up to?
  14. Here's a photo of my 1970 Red Sub. Rolex AD's keep replacing the hands at each service, thankfully I've still got the original ones. I had to fight them for it though, which I thought was wierd considering I owned them. The watch has a long history, purchased by my father brand new in 1974 and given to me as a 21st present. It had sat in draw for about 15 years before then. I was six when he bought it and can still remember going with him to buy it. Still have the original box, receipt, brochure etc. Check out the rust stains around the 7 and 8 markers. The last service was $1000 AUD and they can't be arsed cleaning it, got to love Rolex AD's.
  15. It certainly is sad to see the passing of Peter Brock. He was one my earliest sporting heroes and he will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.
  16. Still one of the best reps made. I've had mine for 16 months and it's still my favourite rep. I guess we spend a lot of time here talking about flaws but there's just so much detail they got right in this version. Looks good on the rubber strap as well.
