  1. Black dial for me then a strip down and double AR coating on the crystal and we are set! That is the biggest flaw on IWC reps, they have very strong AR even on these models. I'll have to wait 3 months until I return home the to U.K though
  2. Very nice but not worth the money. The dial is still too grained. The real one has a more pastey appearance and should perfectly match the bezel as it too is platinum(rolesium). I owned a gen in 2002 and this is better but not worth spending $400 on. A Yachtmaster should have x2 date magnification and does not have a deep rehaut either. The dealers now think that every sport Rollie rep should have one!
  3. This is a common problem on the older movement and I imagine it is the same reason on this and has something to do with the brake on that particular dial that should stop it from moving when the chrono is not running. It is not a simple fix but the movement guys will give some info to confirm this problem.
  4. I'm looking for anyone who has this exact model from Joshua. Pics and comments would be great! thanks!
  5. It might be a good idea to get round to picutres as you have posted in the PICTURE gallery !!!
  6. Absolutely. It is an early version with a president style bracelet. Early gold models including the GMT and SUb had these very different hour markrs and plexiglass. Nice condition looking at the pics. Could finish at a high price.
  7. I did verify myself and just looked at my account page. Maybe the fact I do not work and have no credit history worries them! Ah well
  8. I opened a moneybookers account a few months ago and was given a very silly 70 pounds credit limit. What am I supposed to do with that!! What other guarantees were given that the other dealers do not offer?
  9. I never use WU in the U.K. because they charge ridiculous amounts to do very little work in the transfer of a simple amount of money one lpace to another! I see very little incentive to get involved in this offer at the price stated as it will soon be common place with all our dealers with guarantees on the movement used and more simple payment options given.
  10. Maciek, I have just read all this post today and will give my comments regarding whet I see here and it is this: THe sub dials on the genuine Nav are very much like the old Daytona6263 you have with a pie dish recess. Ruby's are not quite correct but the flat silver finish is very good. The biggest thing I notice which jumps out at you on the real one is the AR coating. It is very strong on a genuine Breitling. Also the real one does not have an eta based movement so it's hard to copy perfectly. On the whole though the watch looks very good and only diehard Breitling fans will spot what are after all pretty small flaws. I can't post any specific pics as I no longer have my Navitimer but I'll look in my archived file for some that might do the job for viewing.
  11. The datewheel is a modification done by me. I stripped the watch down and removed the extra chrono gear as I don't care about using the chrono anyway. I then applied a spare datewheel with good prinitng from my broken PAM50 and stuck it over the EL wheel which also raised it nearer to the dial. I then modified the gear so it cleared the datewheel which is why they do not sit near the dial as the extra gears work the 3 subdial. I built the watch back up to what you see today. More visually accurate in my opinion. This watch will be a test to see how durable the exterior finish is and whether I get only the inside done next time around.
  12. HI No, I sourced a company in the U.K. not far from where I live. It was the first watch crystal they have done.
  13. A piccie taken outside this afternoon showing my new Ar double coated crystal. Awesome is my only description. Up there with Breitling and the genuine Planet Ocean now.
  14. Here are pics of the crystal now fitted back in. It has a blue/purple tinit but chnages to a greenish hue when under bright sunlight and halogens. Claritiy is superb now. In full sunlight it gives the appearance of no crystal being there it is so crisp. Reflection is now reduced to 0.4% down from around 4% before coating which is more than enough to create heavy reflection.
  15. THe colour of Josh's watch will be better in reality. His gold pics never look good. Always oversaturated and dark. I'm going to get the other black dial model next week so I'll post some pics when it comes.
  16. THe movement is the problem but my early asia Daytona at 6 has been great for a long time now. It is lick of the draw though
  17. What do you guys think about these. They Look quite good I think apart from the wrong colour Subdial hands on the black dial model. I've altered one of his pics(hope you don't mind me stealing the pic for demo purposes!)
  18. Beautiful but looking at the pics it is lacking an AR coating on the crystal or is it the photo not showing the effect.
  19. Pets become very close companians in life and it is a very sad day when it comes along and my warm wishes go out to you
  20. Not had this one AR coated yet. Waiting to get my 187 crystal back hopefully today sometime and see what the results are like. Will update later.
  21. MBW watches are based upon TW best models and have the best crystal height and rehaut of any Sub rep. Also they are the nearest in dimension.
  22. THe crystal on most watches comes out simply with a firm knock of pressure from the inside after stripping out the movement. The bezel did not have to be removed on the 187. I have now built the watch back up so all I have to do is make sure the dial is clear of dust etc and clean the inside of the crystal before presenting it to the case where the retaining ring is still in position. I will then apply pressure with a clamp I have to press the crystal back in position and it should be done. My crystal will be back before the weekend hopefully and I will post pics as soon as possible. It will be coated as said on both sides.
