  1. And, since we are loosely talking about avatars and such... I took that photo of Mars with a 6" Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope and a webcam. And, the .gif is an animation of the Fermi-Walker Transport as used in General Relativity.
  2. Sorry, man. But, with the reputation you've managed to muscle on here, I just had to show that you were wrong (heck, we both were wrong!)...so I posted the PM'ed messages. I just wanted to put the record straight. That's all. Donate the bracelet. Jee/Silix is sending me a superb example of one...(as well as a IWC 3717 v1.0).
  3. Sorry, Lani, but I'm calling you out. And, for everybody else to see, here's the entire set of PM'ed messages (only the names and addresses were removed). The same message was sent to TwoTone. As you can all see, I was requesting ANY bracelet. Even the "scratched-up" one that was originally part of the deal. (And, the photos you posted showed NO scratches.) So, after no replies to my PMs, I figured hell…why not just send me a cheaper bracelet. And, I know the Oyster bracelets are cheaper then the MBK (Submariner flip-lock ones). I even replied in a PM saying that I thought they were cheaper. And, in fact, they are. I just recently ordered one from Silix…$25. I also offered you a TRADE of my more expensive Rolesor bracelet for a cheaper one. And, like I said, I would've been happy if you had just sent me an Oyster CLASP! Or, ANYTHING!! But, it seemed that every time I emailed you about getting a bracelet, you were coming up with a different excuse: 1) this one has scratches. 2) get a gator strap. 3) let me look for something else. All these seemed like delay tactics, considering that your original offer was made in late October. It seemed that you hadn't any intentions of sending me a bracelet, because if you had, it would've been sent out during the week of the deal. I've had no problem exchanging items with other RWG members here. Ball is in your court.
  4. Where do you get your parts from? I'd like to get a 3717 dial and hands...and case!
  5. I know exactly what you mean, brother... More then a month back, I posted some pics of an awful Rolex bracelet I received from a "respected" dealer. I was offered by one of the high-ranking members here (and they know who they are) that if I became a member by donating $30, they'd send me a bracelet in return for supporting the forum. I ponied up. Have I received the bracelet yet? NOPE! I've even PM'ed stating that I'd be happy with a cheaper bracelet...or just a clasp to replace the crappy one. Anything yet? NOPE! Even if you pony up, don't expect to get treated like a member. And, look at how many posts I've made since joining. That equates to $0.30 / post! Fcukall! I'm a grad student. So, I make jacksh!t money from TA'ing a bunch of 1st and 2nd year students. I can't just throw money around. That bracelet has cost me $68 (original purchase) plus $30. Nice. Regardless though, I did manage to meet some really nice members here. We just stick with our chats in private and exchange ideas in there.
  6. Lani, I think you've just increased the forum demand for Cape Cod Cloth. Group buy, anyone?!
  7. Anybody know where I can get a hologram sticker for my DateJust 16030 Franken?
  8. Panatime has some very nice IWC inspired bands.
  9. This is definitely going to be my next project! Even if the watch didn't say IWC, its such a great design. You think the Sinn 356 will ever be rep'ed?
  10. German date wheels are a must! You gotta love those Tuesday's: DIE! Where did you find the gen dial and hands? Were they pricey? Also, what is EL 100? I can't wait to see your other IWC projects.
  11. Thank you, Ubi. What version was your 3717? You changed to genuine dial and hands, swapped for a Swiss 7750 movement and, had double AR applied, correct? Did you change crown and pusher at all or performed any modifications to the case? I your 3717!
  12. . Somebody mentioned that there was a V.2 and V.3 of the 3717. What are the differences? Which is better for the Swiss 7750?
  13. I've never seen this style before. Thanks for posting the pics!
