  1. OK..... 8 pages and it keeps going??Q!!!

I had a LOT to drink tonight, with my giood froiend Quarks... He even saved my life (sotrt of) :LOIL

Anyway, I just gottsa say that I'm completely with Neil in regards to your choices...

What TF is with you guys choosing these inexpensive watches like Fortis, Omega, Oris eta al ad nauseum when we actrually have a choice of some great watches that would normally cost a bundle.... I just don't get it.

Choose a great simple watch (please no frihgggin Rolex for Fcks sake) and lets get on wityh it.

Anyone whoi wantsd an Omega, please go to the AD and buyn one... Geeeez get a fckn clue

And then, nominate m e vfor pst od the month, cuz i just proof read this and its dreadful LOL

  2. How about this gen? Very handsome looking watch. Chrono version:

    Without chronos:

    159376-12678.jpg

The Tiffany's Mark T-57. Existant Eta movement:

And here are some of the neat gadgets we've seen elsewhere as well (this demo shows the model with the optional vulcanized rubber):

And if you wish too stay away from chronos, I think the regular version of this piece still makes an extremely fine looking watch; a nice combination of sporty & elegant at the same time--equally matches a Billabong wetsuit as it would an Saville Row suit.

Being that the gen is only around $2,000 I think it's a perfect middle ground to start a rep from--not using a gen that's too cheap or from a company that's not well branded & easily recognized, and it's not using a gen that's too expensive or from a brand that's too high-end for a lot of people to pull off.

    Sorry, LOL

I'm drunk, buit I have not lost5 my taste

  3. Since this is a special build, as per our votes, I would hope it would have genuine Tritec Super Luminova, and real AR coat so we wouldn't have to send it out for relume service. I'd be happy to pay for the little extra it would cost.

OK, my first vote would be for the GP Seahawk, great call Neil!

I would be worried about them doing the bezel right though :g:

Second vote goes to the IWC Aquatimer:

And I gotta throw in this, if they were going to use the a7750:

  4. My wife bought me a gen Seamaster Pro for around $AU2k... I just bought a Sinn U1 for around $US1k...

They are both great watches; Although I don't consider the SMP Pro as a 'beater', I think it will taks a beating just fine.

I *do* consider the Sinn a beater and I know it will take anything I would put it through, although I did break the springbar while adjusting the strap :(

Your comment on springbars is disturbing :Jumpy:

  5. Guys, just use your eyes....

Overall, the Birkin looks very good. But....

it's either Sash's pics or something is very wrong with the workmanshp as revealed in the several close-ups he used in his thread.

Think leatherwork and small stitching details.

Should definitely not be on a bag purporting to be of this quality.....

    Do see what I see?

To be fair, I think we need to let Sash - who seems to be a perfectly stand-up guy - respond before we pass definitive judgement on this particular model.....

I did see these problems, that's what I was waiting to hear. With some QC work, these could be eliminated and an excellent bag would emerge.

  6. I bought a Chloe Paddington bag like Sash's, but from somewhere else, the quality is perfect compared to the real deal.

The Birkin that Sash has looks very good, but expensive... Don't know enough about Hermes stuff to really judge though.

If anyone can comment on the Birkin, maybe the Missus will have something a bit different for under the tree this year.

  7. No prob we get Quarks to name his dates and we will go from there.

One thing though is the cigar bar jammed packed like the rest of the crown bars?

If so we wont have much room for spreading out our collections.

    Ken

I've been there several times and there were hardly any people there, I will try to find out the best times to go when it's quiet.
