Have also heard the same as lanikai. I've recently gotten interested in this watch and thanks to toomuchgear, toadtorrent and lanikai have gotten to learn more about the available versions from the dealers. Have decided to wait for the new model to come out, then can get a better comparison.

I'm actually not looking at making any changes so basically wanted to know if Joshua's would be a good out of box based on closeness to the gen and quality/reliability. I do agree that since it's vintage generally the good reps will suffice. Just from what I've read up, looks to be that for Joshua's version only the cyclops is off? Would appreciate your further inputs on this.

hello all. am thinking of getting Davidsen's 217 and wanted to get feedback on how his watches are? i also noticed that his domed crystal may not be close to a genuine piece. what's your feedback on this? did you also need to make other changes to be closer to the geniune (crown guard lever not touching the case enough?)? thanks!
