Cool pic!!! That's Ubi-licious Chief!

Here's how I look at it. The hunt for the parts is all part of the fun and enjoyment for me. I may spend close to the gen cost, but it's spread out over months/years so it's not a big hit on the pocket book all at once. Plus, it's just too easy to go out and buy the gen. That's boring for me. There's no story behind it. There's no adventure. There's none of the pain and agony searching for or waiting for that next part. Its the journey more than the arrival that makes this so much fun for me. I'll go above 95% if I can, but only if it's going to bring me a lot of satisfaction. I could have just bought a gen Tudor 9411 for close to what I paid for my franken, but I made so many great friends building that watch and that is worth far, far more to me than the inherent cost of the piece itself. It's the friendships that I am always reminded of when I put that watch on and that makes it priceless to me.

Looks like a decent deal here for anyone looking for a nice 7734. Doesn't have a 45 min counter, but you can find a kit on eBay. There was a discussion about the conversion kit here

These were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials, hehehehe __________________________________________________ Q: Does it ever get windy in Australia ? I have never seen it rain on TV, how do the plants grow? ( UK ). A: We import all plants fully grown and then just sit around watching them die. __________________________________________________ Q: Will I be able to see kangaroos in the street? ( USA ) A:Depends how much you've been drinking. __________________________________________________ Q:I want to walk from Perth to Sydney - can I follow the railroad tracks? ( Sweden ) A: Sure, it's only three thousand miles, take lots of water. __________________________________________________ Q: Are there any ATMs (cash machines) in Australia? Can you send me a list of them in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville and Hervey Bay ? ( UK ) A: What did your last slave die of? __________________________________________________ Q:Can you give me some information about hippo racing in Australia ? ( USA ) A: A-Fri-ca is the big triangle shaped continent south of Europe. Aus-tra-lia is that big island in the middle of the Pacific which does not ... Oh forget it. Sure, the hippo racing is every Tuesday night in Kings Cross. Come naked. __________________________________________________ Q:Which direction is North in Australia ? (USA ) A: Face south and then turn 180 degrees. Contact us when you get here and we'll send the rest of the directions. _________________________________________________ Q: Can I bring cutlery into Australia ? ( UK ) A:Why? Just use your fingers like we do... __________________________________________________ Q:Can you send me the Vienna Boys' Choir schedule? ( USA ) A: Aus-tri-a is that quaint little country bordering Ger-man-y, which is Oh forget it. Sure, the Vienna Boys Choir plays every Tuesday night in Kings Cross, straight after the hippo races. Come naked. __________________________________________________ Q: Can I wear high heels in Australia ? ( UK ) A: You are a British politician, right? __________________________________________________ Q:Are there supermarkets in Sydney and is milk available all year round? ( Germany ) A: No, we are a peaceful civilization of vegan hunter/gatherers. Milk is illegal. __________________________________________________ Q:Please send a list of all doctors in Australia who can dispense rattlesnake serum. ( USA ) A: Rattlesnakes live in A-meri-ca which is where YOU come from. All Australian snakes are perfectly harmless, can be safely handled and make good pets. __________________________________________________ Q:I have a question about a famous animal in Australia, but I forget its name. It's a kind of bear and lives in trees. ( USA ) A: It's called a Drop Bear. They are so called because they drop out of Gum trees and eat the brains of anyone walking underneath them. You can scare them off by spraying yourself with human urine before you go out walking. __________________________________________________ Q:I have developed a new product that is the fountain of youth. Can you tell me where I can sell it in Australia ? ( USA ) A: Anywhere significant numbers of Americans gather. __________________________________________________ Q:Do you celebrate Christmas in Australia ? Now available - 45 minute conversion kit for valjoux 7734

Did you send him a message? -
Hello forum experts! Just got in a 45 min kit based on the recommendation from this thread started by andrew-0001 (thanks for that!). So my question is this: would this be an installation that I would want to try doing myself? Anyone here done the conversion themselves? Or should I just send it back to Ziggy for installation? Opinions?

What do you guys think of the Rolex Explorer II 216570 ?
redwatch replied to a topic in The Rolex Area
Agreed..... what a waste of time even building that watch -
Thanks B!

About the same here B. Seems to last almost two full days on a wind. I've been wearing it everyday since I got it back and got the new date wheel installed, so it's hard to say for sure to be honest

Drop dead gorgeous Chief! Is the cyclops AR'd? -
Man some great choices (and some amazing pics) today!!! Loving the EBEL's and LHOOQ that pic is just awesome!!! For some reason I can't stop winding up my 7032 and putting it on my wrist! With the colder weather moving it, the Tudor just fits so nicely underneath the cuff of my sweater.

The moony is looking good K! Nice pics too!! Still wearing the 7032 for the weekend and it's keeping great time!!!
