  1. Asia AND ETA 775x movements do not like to be hand-wound! the speed reducing gear for the auto-wind mechanism spins at an insanely high speed when you hand wind the watch and it will strip off the teeth of this gear. Dont do it .. unless you are very very slow and careful .. and only a little.
  2. The Mini Fiddy from Sead is available and is just a 44mm fiddy .. its so cute and widdle.
  3. The piece which the blue stick adjusts ... breaks off of the watch.
  4. It takes courage .. to enjoy it .. the hardcore, and the gentle .. big-time sensuality.
  5. There are titanium refinishing "pens" sold at watch supply stores online. Hold it like a pen, and go to work.
  6. For about 6 months now, TheZigmeister only takes appointments from current clients and members who are personally recommended by current clients. He's just been very over-booked and is trying to manage that problem. There are a few trusted repair people in the continental USA if you don't mind shipping across the border.
  7. Awesome work, as always, Vac. What would we do without you.
  8. Don't send it back to China. Minnesota <--- almost no wait time, but won't do 7750/7753 Texas <--- 4 week wait, but can do complex 7750 movements, no problem
  9. Talk to KATT on RWI .. he's a trusted watchsmith over there, and does business out of MN .. good turn-around time and very reasonable pricing. It's not as difficult or expensive as you may think for a member here to fix a watch properly at a trusted repair shop and have it last for years.
  10. Awesome! You're almost there.
  11. I have electricity, after two and half days! 1680 today.
  12. Because of quality control problems in China, no replica is waterproof unless you test it. If mr factory man forgets to put in your rubber seals... No one cares! No one will find his error. You will find his error when your watch fills with water. Always test or you are trusting you luck and nothing else.
  13. Tl;dr (was Too Long ; Didn't Read it) 8p
  14. Thanks for checking in with us I hope your new orders arrive soon, and safely.
  15. Welcome! And yes; there I so much info here to absorb. You'll spend many happy hours if you want to.
  16. Wow, you have really thrown yourself into this hobby! Welcome to the board. Pics pics pics!!
  17. Lots of folks powered down from the hurricane, including me. Wearing the DSSD today. Edit: wow posting pics from TapaTalk looks like ass. Oh well.
  18. Welcome! And yes you certainly have dropped a load of cash thus far. It's all great fun, tho. I hope you enjoy your new reps! Remember to post pics of your purchases and your impression of the transactions, for newer members to use as reference.
  19. You have cross-threaded the crown. The safest way to not do this is to turn the crown in reverse while applying pressure until you feel the matching threads click. Then you can turn it normally and tighten your crown. As for your problem, the crown and tube are very cheap and not a big issue to replace.
  20. If you are looking for $70 watches, why not look at WatchEden
  21. I forgot to add the 3rd "o" at first, too, Wm .. there is a site there if you use 3 "o" ... and it looks shady as hell. Why trust someone who posts pics of Gens on a rep site?
  22. your VCO is a very good version. Note the correct shape for the date window and the generously sized maltese cross.
  23. The only ceramic watch I own so far is a Deepsea. Im considering a GMT IIc tho ... maybe. And yes, when you give them a good wipe-down with a cloth and hold them to the light, it's like magic. Especially the candy dome crystal on the Deepsea
