  1. Thanks for your reply. I checked my movement and there is no warped or broken cogs, the secondhand movement does work just seems to get stuck for some reason. I know its not a good idea but i used a cotton bud and some wd40 and now its working like a charm. Hasnt stopped yet after 10 minutes which previously only lasted 10-20 seconds before stopping.
  2. I just got myself a Vintage Omega Seamaster but have a small problem (I hope) The second hand just stops by itself but then continues on with a little tap on the watch. Not sure if this is an easy fix or Im gonna have to fork out for a service. Thanks
  3. I have just recently bought a Bell & Ross off a forum member and the watch needs a relume and a service, also the seller said I might want to have the dial treated. Does anyone here on the forum do this kind of work? Thanks in advance
  4. Im in the market for my first rep but dont know which to start with. I want a watch that has ETA like the Gen and the dial strap etc like a gen. Obviously the lume of this rep will we fairly weak so I will have that sorted and any other differences by one of the guys on here. I really like the PAM watches but they are really a specialist watch and difficult and kind of expensive to put right and get close to gen. The chopard GT XL seems a good start but what else would you guys recommend? I dont actually mind the style or size of the watch aslong as its fairly inexpensive to modify into almost the genuine article. Thanks
  5. I have sourced these two watches but they are not cheap. Do they look good quality to your trained eyes? Sorry for the white blocks on the pictures, has the suppiers information and not supposed to be using his pictures.
  6. nobody at all? Is this basically like asking who is a gay?
  7. Seems that Rado's are not to popular here at RGW, I really like there sleek design which can be worn with basically any clothing and look good. Ive looked high and low online but there seems to be so much variation in pricing anything from
  8. Ive been here for maybe 4-5 days now and have read loads and loads of threads about all aspects of buying, upgrading and looking for the correct replica quality wise. I noticed most of you guys have bought a replica then upgraded parts to get it as close to the real thing as possble which looks like a hard work but well worth it once its finished. What I wanted to ask was after finding the right watch then performing the upgrades even the time peice itself how accurate is it then compared to the gen? I know the average person wouldnt be able to tell the difference even before the upgrades, but say I had a fully upgraded ultimate Panerai and took it for servicing at an established watch maker what would be the tell tale signs its not the real thing?
  9. I have found this watch going for a decent price does it look good to the trained eye? Ive compared it with pics of the gen and it looks good.
  10. I have sourced these watches from China and need your expert opinions on there quality. The price is very good so not sure if there as good as the replicas ive seen on here.
  11. I have had some pictures sent to me of a Chopard GT please take a look and tell me what you think quality wise. Its around $100
  12. My friend she lives in Shenzhen but doesnt actually know anything about watches its a matter of me telling here which one(s) I want and she will source them. I can also source them myself from here in Uk but trusting Chinese sellers over quality on the internet isnt a good idea. I mean Ive seen the same watch e.g Omega Seamaster with the orange crocodile strap rand from
  13. Thanks for ur quick replies The omega planet ocean and the pam's you mentioned are nice watches. Im like you Rolex's arnt really my kind of thing so I will look into the other watches mentioned. I always wear jeans and only suits on special occasions maybe 4-5 times a years. Chopard Mille Liglia XL looks real nice
  14. Hi guys I have been looking into buying a replica watch for some time now and luckily come across this site, I have a friend in Hong Kong who has thousands of watches for me to choose from but I want to make sure I buy only the very best replica as im not a rich guy and want something of high quality. Im not fussy as to what style of watch I want anything from a Rado to a Franck Muller through to a chrono doesnt bother me. I actually like the Panerai collection quite alot but as I said it doesnt matter. I just wanted a few opinions on which actual watches are the very best replicas as close as possible to the genuine versions.
