  1. Just wear it as a Rotary... from wrist distance all their homages look like the real deal anyways.
  2. Might appeal to Breitling owners? Or ladies that like to wear mens watches.
  3. You can get a genuine Maratac strap (great quality NATO & Zulu) for around $15, many with free shipping, on eBay.
  4. This is your gen, but you weren't aware the barcode is only on the clear protective sticker? Hmmm… Why no side-by-side? Anyways, nice pics! I wish the lume was a little closer to pure white in daylight, the grayish hue is my biggest gripe. How's the crown / tube? I got an early version, also 21j, and it was rough winding & screwing down.
  5. Jinx to LHOOQ, I think you need to read the replies again HartDoc. Doesn't look like anyone called it a rep, only told you what to look for to spot one. I'm staring at the U1 rep on my wrist now and indeed the dial markers are greenish tinted (very slightly), unlike yours which are stark white. Another tell, if you're truly anal, is that there's slightly more space between the date window and 3 o'clock lume marker on the gen than there is on the rep. The AR on mine is of gen caliber, and the rep rubber is really decent (they also did a great job on the steel's finish, matches a gen bracelet perfectly)... if it wasn't for the lume I'd call this a super rep!
  6. yeah shame about the CGs, because the rehaut really does look improved
  7. not sure how much difference there is between gen and rep rubber, but I've got a rep Sinn U1 and it's by FAR the most comfortable rubber strap I've worn, way better than my experience with rep Breitling or Omega rubber. I've even seen a few Rolex guys over at TRF who use Sinn rubber straps for their Submariners.
  8. here's a link to the newsletter I mentioned... SD info at the bottom http://www.icontact-archive.com/OKL6XAZDiBCbxml4L2_pNrLETAyRt3YI?w=1
  9. The product ID number in the URL indicates these are leftover links for the old SSD, and are definitely NOT placeholder links for the new superlumed SD that the cartel has been working on (which in the latest newsletter was announced to be coming in a month, after the surprise release of the Explorer II).
  10. Yep, per my link earlier, new 39mm Explorer II coming from the cartel... looks pretty great. Finally a noob replacement it seems. Hope this is just the start, they're supposedly working on a new SD as well.
  11. Just posted to facebook... nothing on his site yet. But this could be promising perhaps? https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150585626509447.500207.520849446&type=1
  12. DSSD on NATO is such a great look, surprised I don't see it more often!
  13. I had no idea they'd revised the 42mm version already... not there yet but the progress is encouraging!
  14. This would be true for a regular black wm9 dial (compared to the ones he's had made for the TW sub), but the blue TT dial is not being remade... and so I'd venture around $150 give or take. I think I paid BK around $50 for a noob TT dial, as a point of reference.
