You Can usea sort of leather soap it is directly to clean leather and it works fine for me.

I understand that the Glass is hold by cement. Maybe grinding down the lip to the gap that hold the bezel on the case will be an option.?!? If not I think you need a other case. Other option is to work on the Acrylic Insert, maybe there is a bit space on the bottom to grind it slightly on the inside to fit. Don't get me wrong the Case looks damn good also the Bezel and Insert. But a Glass that is only hold by cement is not really a good solution. I had also a vintage one with this solution and I have lot of problems with it.

So what I understand that the lip on the case hold the whole bezel in place? If so than there is huge risk to grind it down and the bezel is loose on the case. Is there no retaining ring on this case? to grind down a line in the Insert seems not a good option Huge risk to damage the acrylic and backside numbers on it.

There are some rules to buy an vintage Rolex. Find a trustfull dealer who sells vintage ones since years. When you buy from normal person, take the watch to an AD to check the watch. Ask Rolex for serialnumber and reference. For Vintage Rolexes there are so much hybrid ones out there, mixed with gen and generic parts redials. A trustfull source will help much. Hello all, you can get the bezel much cheaper when you get a Set aftermarket including Bezel,washer and retaining Ring on the Bay. Just a tip

I had no problems to install a gen Insert on Stephanes Sub. It snaps in like the real deal.

A 16800 Submariner or old style 16610 Believe me prices grow up the next years when the new style Submariner come out... For example I bought my Tudor Sub for 800 DM a view years back now they go up to 2600

This Sub is not available as Gen, but in the future it will be. There is only the whitegold Blue Sub available in the moment. But the Rep looks not so bad, but not my cup of tea.

All is said about the flaws I think. I'm a bit late Good example that high price is not even a good watch Thanks for sharing Steph.
