  1. David, I'm deeply saddened to hear about your father's passing. He was the epitome of what makes this forum a community. He was always funny, helpful, welcoming, kind and a gentleman. I hope you keep fond memories of him close to you and my sincere condolences to you and your family.
  2. Probably Vietnam dials. What bugs me with both dials are the date window is too large (the 2nd one is even worse), the gen date window doesn't dip into the minute track but ends above it and will show some white space below the datewheel, and the magnifier just highlight this flaw. See this pix of mine with an old Vietnam dial: The gen below is how it should look. The DW dial has it's own set if issues, the orange is too red, the grey is a bit glossy and should be matte and you'll have to have it relumed unless you want a minty fresh white lume. Good luck in your search, I think the DW is still the best bet, you'll just have to hunt for one and be patient.
  3. Can my 16750 Matte Dial join in...
  4. Haven't posted in ages -Happy Friday to all!
  5. If you can find gen 589's I can tell you they fit a Phong 7031/2 case. 580's are not tall enough to fit the fat case. Good luck in your hunt!
  6. It's great see such some great veterans joining the Moderator ranks, congrats everyone!
